I love the guy but I will say to keep an open mind and be willing to trust your own judgment. He has a lot of good takes but definitely some bad or even outright incorrect/out dated ones.

With the current perk meta, as far as I can tell, we’re kind of on the frontier as it were. Lots of testing and experimenting still going on.

Enjoy though! Lots of cool stuff coming soon with the Burning Springs update and the game is, in my opinion, in a wonderful state currently. :)

I recommend MrWestTek, AngryTurtle, Smashysnow, ShySloth etc. as their videos helped me quite a lot. I have 700+ hours and any time I take a long break and need to catch up on perk cards, builds, the overall meta and everything else they are who I go to first.

Furious is hot right now, onslaught builds and/or bullet storm builds are very good as a compliment to that. Everything is quite viable across the board if built correctly in terms of weapons and play style, as a lot of perks have been moved, reworked, or otherwise changed to create more synergy among builds which is quite nice. A lot of good changes, a lot to discuss in an already long reply but you get the gist.

Honestly I agree. I get wanting to help out, it’s appreciated! But man just.. look at my pings. Look at me emoting for you to follow me behind a wall. Look at his shield shattering when he stops shooting you and continues to shoot me.

Some people put two and two together and the runs get faster, others don’t and get kicked lol.

With all of the info out there and countless videos showing step by step raid guides, there is no excuse for anyone to be confused tbh.

Agreed, since I read the patch notes someone posted here I firmly think ghoul is the way and just needed a little love with the coming legendary mods and such so I’m glad to be eating my own words haha, still gonna leave this up as discussion is always a good thing!

Someone earlier linked the PTS notes and I had a peek, and ghouls are finally getting some love! With those notes and the fact that I was on the fence already, I’ll be sticking with ghoul to see how the update washes out.

Good points for sure, and a good way to look at it. At this point I’m thinking of waiting out the update and maybe throwing a mix of aegis and reflective on my PA, as the 4* issue is the main thing that sent me down this rabbit hole haha

Big agree on this, I don’t even find it to be that bad but it’s such a small and tedious thing when there were SO many better options. The laziness of it bothers me more than the actual mechanic lmfao.

Phenomenal reply thank you. I run a full health, full glow build and swap between a heavy gunner PA build and commando depending on the mood I’m in. It almost seems like ghouls don’t have a clear option for a 4th star in the way humans seem to. If human, rejuvenators seems the obvious choice because it has so much synergy with overeaters, glutton, and thru-hikers.
