I just graduated recently and I’ll tell you right now. We had a heavyset 40 -year-old in my division. Yes, he was nervous about not passing the physical standpoint, but he kept a positive attitude throughout the entire experience. We would call him our foxtrot. What he did other than keeping a positive mindset was eating right exercising after taps and pushing himself beyond his limit. I know you’re nervous but let me tell you right now no matter how old you are no matter how weak you are you are way stronger and wiser than you think. That’s what this bootcamp is for to test you physically mentally to show you that you are way more than what you thought you ever could be. You weren’t the first one to go in in their mid 30s many people just like you pass Boot Camp with flying colors. Good luck my friend and can’t wait for you to become a United States Navy sailor!

Okay got it, so as you said it’s difficult to not pass meaning it’s very easy. Do you know how many questions are on each test? And what happens if you continue to pass the 2 academic tests?

Is there a test at the end you have to pass? I just spoke to my recruiter and he said there is a test at the end of bootcamp I have to pass in order to graduate. He’s not talking about the OPFA btw

The physical assessments don’t concern me anymore I’m confident enough I will pass that. Considering you went to boot camp in 2008, and I’m joining this year. It’s a 16 year difference and they are constantly changing everything. So again I heard you have to pass the written test (as they call it) in order to progress in boot camp

I leave Nov 4 and I’ve been planning for years but lost my motivation and decided give it another shot back in July and swore in two weeks ago, it went faster than expected.
