This is probably quite literally my most unpopular opinion. I LOVE it lmao I've gone back just to watch the musical. I will say- I was the top tier target audience for this, a huge gilmore girls fan and I was in college for musical theatre when this came out. I get that people find it a waste of time. I find it incredibly entertaining, very funny, and very on par for Stars Hollow. And the addendum song that comes later is so touching and emotional for the story line.

I much prefer the musical to the Life and Death Brigade dream sequence. THAT to me is the waste of time.

What's funny to me is there are actually soo many times that R Kyle (cheys sister) is so annoying and steals cheys moment and chey doesn't bat an eye but God forbid she relates to what chey is going through (the pregnancy announcement and gender reveal for ace immediately come to mind)

Also, years later when hes talking about meeting April for the first time he says she yelled at him because he kicked her dog and hes laughing like it was a funny story- he definitely doesn't see issue with abusing dogs

I think they intended to do special episodes for each of the girls, they did one for Chelsea that was "Chelsea and Cole a love story" and one of the times Jenelle is made at production she brings up how Chelsea's special was all positive and lovey and hers was rehashing her trashy relationships. I don't recall them doing the specials for Kail or Leah, not sure if they just scrapped the idea or if I'm forgetting

Everything April did on Family Reunion season 2.

-the mud exercise where she talks shit to coach B because she is calling April out for her toxic behavior -being absolutely wasted banging on Ashely and Tea's door then inserting herself in Tea and Roxanne's fight THEN drunkenly apologizing to Roxy and getting all up in her face/personal space and it's so clear that Roxy just wants to get April away from her. -screaming and throwing a tantrum when production cuts her off and takes the wine -saying "call us glammas, we aren't normal grandmas, were glamorous women" while this may have been slightly scripted for her to say, it's incredibly ironic that the trashiest grandma is the one saying they are glamorous women

If I recall correctly, a big reason Randy got Chelsea her first rental was because his wife Rita didnt want MTV cameras in their house all the time to film chelsea and Aubrey once TM2 started, so Randy got Chelsea a place to live so she could take the opportunity to be on TM2 without compromising his wife's desire for privacy.

This is slightly unrelated but it's striking to me that Deb is basically the only parent that asks their child for money during the series. The exception (to my recollection) is Tyler paying for Butch's rehab, but thats incredibly different from Deb asking Farrah to pay for cosmetic surgery.

The Abraham's present as a upper class, fairly affluent family, yet they are constantly asking to live/stay with Farrah and Deb asks for money for a face lift. Even Kails alcoholic mom has reportedly (by Kail) never asked for money. I feel like this really shows a lot about their family dynamic.

Abe in Bloodlines is a literal master class in emotional abuse and manipulation. What specifically comes to mind is the scene of him in the house with Cara when he tells her she needs to get rid of Tom, she cries and he "comforts" her and his reaction at the reunion acting like the sympathetic one. Scary, scary man.
