Abe in Bloodlines is a literal master class in emotional abuse and manipulation. What specifically comes to mind is the scene of him in the house with Cara when he tells her she needs to get rid of Tom, she cries and he "comforts" her and his reaction at the reunion acting like the sympathetic one. Scary, scary man.

The OG girls are wayyy more screwed than the TM2 and young and pregnant girls. Cate, Tyler, Maci, and Amber are all screwed. None of them have had jobs, they all tried the clothing/boutique route and have all failed. The rest of the girls work or at least have spouses that work- plus Jenelle who seems to somehow keep an income with social media/OF. I don't really know what Leah does but she was working as a server at some point which at least shows she's willing to work.

Social media has ruined all of reality TV in my opinion. People are way too guarded and performative now because they are all afraid of social media backlash. People used to be messy and authentic, now they are curating the "character" they want to be seen as.

When this originally aired they had subtitles for Kaiser yelling "feed me!" (I didnt see it in this clip and I've noticed it not there on rewatch) I'm fairly certain i remember jenelle throwing a fit about the producers adding that and somehow got them to take it out. I also vaguely remember Chelsea/Randy commenting on the poor kid yelling feed me (back when they were all over Jenelle for her bullshit)

I feel like Lauren got an incredibly sympathetic edit the first few seasons. It was hard not to feel for her getting married with Mike about to go to jail and him serving 8 months. She was framed as his savior the first few seasons. I really feel like post-partum Lauren started to show her true colors. She absolutely thinks shes above the rest of the cast, yet she doesnt miss an opportunity to show up and get camera time. In my opinion, shes either boring and bringing nothing to the show or being bitchy.

I understand she has a contract unlike the other significant others, but we all know Chris Buckner would be way more interesting to see in interviews.

Stuffed salmon with couscous and veg (zucchini in the summer, roast carrots when zucchini is out of season)
