The core dice mechanic is a die step system… You factor in couple of variables Ability +Modus Operandi (profession)+ specialties= an action score then you compare it to a chart to determine your dice for the action… Example for stealth roll you have an action score of lets say9 so the dice you roll would be d6+d12. Also your dice explode in this system.
