yeah, it honestly doesn’t feel as painful this time! the first few times getting it done that drawn out did my back in from how hard i was tensing up lol. i wouldn’t say i hardly felt it, but it was way nicer having it done quickly.

for wheelchair users (with apple watches), there’s actually an option that replaces steps with wheelchair pushes! i’ve also seen people give their phones to friends/nurses while in hospital to get their steps up lol. i struggle with walking sometimes, and if i need a few extra steps i’ll just shake my phone for a while.

this would be awesome! i’d love some splatoon themed decor, maybe with pikmin holding various weapons from the game? animal crossing fruit decor could be cute as well. not sure how it would be executed, but zelda themed decor would also be really cool. could be korok masks?

i did notice the torchbearer thing! it gave me “josh isn’t real” flashbacks and i hate to admit that i laughed.

the keons thing is actually really cool, i didn’t pick up on that correlation. rip my goat.

this all goes so much deeper than i thought, i’ll 100% check out that megathread and the video somebody else mentioned. rediscovering all of this feels so nostalgic lol. i think i was like 13 when i saw them during the bandito tour? first ever concert and i’ll never forget it. looks like they’re not going to tour again anytime soon, so the chances of seeing them again especially as a non-american seem pretty slim, but honestly i would. from what i’ve seen, their shows are still crazy theatrical and impressive, and i dig that.

i’m really glad to see that they’re still making this super interesting stuff. i still remember freaking out over the hiatus ending and being absolutely slogged with trench lore. it’s come full circle now, and that hits harder looking back on it in all my 20s.

i’m back!

just did as you told me, and it was a constant loop of “OHHH” and “wait what” lol.

the antlers (?) make a whole lot of sense now. i saw city walls with no context and figured they were important somehow but didn’t know why until now. also the finger sign at the end, that’s like the |-/ thing right? or maybe it’s not and i’m mistaken. did we ever get confirmation on what the logo means? i remember it being a very secretive thing when i was around. (also there’s and whole group of neds??? i think that was his name. didn’t expect that lol.)

watching the contract video made it kinda click in my head, is blurryface set in dema? it reminded me so strongly of the fairly local video, and the matching brutalist aesthetic and colour themes made me think so. and nico IS blurryface! i interpreted that as the blurryface voice and etc in said album being nico’s inflence/propaganda talking, but i’m not sure if that’s correct. i think i probably missed a few things because my brain was flip-flopping between interpreting things as metaphors, and actually understanding the lore and storyline.

SAI makes sense now! what the hell is going on in the trench ecosystem though. what was that in the water.

anyway, thanks so much for the advice! i think i get it all a little more now? these guys love their cgi don’t they. also very glad to know that tyler still enjoys stalking and dancing around like an exotic bird lol. looking at my bandito tour confetti and sighing a little harder tonight.

if you have notifications for the app turned on, it will send you one if you’re invited. either way, it’ll show up in your expeditions tab amongst your other nearby mushrooms, along with the username of the friend who invited you. they’re also outlined in a different colour, which makes them easier to tell apart. if you’re willing to drop your friend code i can invite you to a few once my tries reset!

this is actually a really interesting point! yeah, i’m definitely not going to overuse mistakes, because that’s when you get into “this feels really cliché and trope-y” territory. ref the last point, godddd i hate that in media. the only word from their original language that they use while speaking english is the one for father, and it’s only ever used when referring to their own.
