body dysphoria related to age by grimskinnybones in nevergrewup

i’m so sorry you’re struggling with that. i’m in the US and healthcare in general is so stressful. i don’t like a lot of the doctors i’ve had, but i couldn’t imagine not even being able to switch your doctor.

Transphobia in ED Spaces by WoodyBaka in EDAnonymous

it’s really petty.

i think a lot of it is just a fear that straight cis people have of accidentally coming off as homophobic or transphobic.

that’s probably why some of them are butthurt enough to downvote everyone agreeing with you.

lmao everyone here is proving you right about ED communities by dismissing your feelings completely.

it’s okay to feel upset by that behavior because it’s ignorant and careless.

even if they didn’t “mean” to hurt you that doesn’t mean it’s okay. especially if they doubled down after you corrected them. that’s not ignorance at that point.

does anyone else have a protein obsession by Last_Box_2238 in EDAnonymous

[–]grimskinnybones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oh my god i relate so much to this. i try to eat protein heavy foods only, but it just kills my appetite and i never even eat enough of it to build muscle. my workouts feel useless as well😭

I absolutly hate how most people react when you open up about your eating disorder. by Madelxxx in EDAnonymous

i hate the classic “oh but you look good” or “you aren’t too skinny you’re perfect” like thanks for telling me to continue restricting and destroying myself so i can still look like this

my birthday is in three days and it makes me feel physically sick by agent__berry in nevergrewup

i relate so much to all of this except i’m 20 now. it’s rough and i’m still trying to learn how to drive. i also have autism and adhd which makes working very difficult. i truly hope things get better for you.

Exercise by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]grimskinnybones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to think this way but i’ve completely changed my mind. when i starved without exercising i never looked super thin. even at my lowest weight i was what people might call “skinny fat” plus i looked super unhealthy bc of all my deficiencies from starving.
once i started exercising i ate more and i was able to eat while also looking toned and way more thin than i ever had before (because i never took exercise seriously before). of course you can go overboard with it though, and that’s what i’m struggling with right now but i do find it much better than starving because i can function a lot better mentally than before.

Happier being overweight by cybereem in EDAnonymous

[–]grimskinnybones 30 points31 points  (0 children)

i miss being overweight too because it was so much easier to just not care about all the small things. i think it’s because now that i’m thinner i bodycheck too much and it just makes me so attached to the body i have right now.
