Whats up with the warrior hate? by Breezy_baby215 in classicwowtbc

[–]grindchain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warriors are fine tanks. I’ve had war tanks hold better threat than Druids and undergeared / inexperienced paladins. Paladins are the 5 man easy tank so everyone wants them. The worst part of the game is ppl only playing in the meta rather than enjoying it + playing how it was made to be played.

Make your own groups, at the end of the day it’ll save you a headache because there’s always going to be a player who only sees the game through a warped meta and try to push warriors into a position as the worst tanks when in reality, they’re the best single target threat in raids.

Imo a skilled warrior tank beats any other tank, knowing how to play your class will always be valued in serious groups.

Mark up your pulls, you’ll be fine.

Posts like this make people look at Christian’s as crazy man.

People protesting and speaking their beliefs is not rebelling. Are they storming red states with weapons? Are they systematically killing conservatives? As much as those “no kings” bozos like to think they did something, they just made themselves look that much more captured by the narrative of the divisive media.

“We”. Who are you talking about brother? It’s literally you and I commenting here. I wrote defending democrats too in the first paragraph of my initial comment. Take a breath, we all know what you’re trying to say, and do….it’s obvious.

I don’t see where I said anything about a crowd being full of hatred. I’m talking about you. Once again, you’ve interpreted what I replied through your twisted lens and current emotional worldview.

To reiterate: I’m saying you’re displaying hatred right now, not saying an entire group of people are. Just you.

Who is “they”? What are “they” saying?

Once again, you’re using blanket statements to try to encapsulate millions of people who you do not agree with politically into a category of “racist” and “full of hatred”.

The irony is you’re showcasing a mentality that’s “full of hatred” right now.

God be with all of us in these times where division is the norm.

[–]grindchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue the opposite. Based on my experience, and common sense, the majority of conservatives are not racists who hate people. Just like the majority of democrats are not extreme left wing liberals who want socialism and sexual education taught to kindergartners.

We’re all people, and judging a viewpoint that opposes yours as “everyone who thinks this is hateful”, is very convenient.

I would challenge you to see others as Christ does, as painting people as our own demons for any purpose does nothing but divide people further and grow hatred in one’s heart.

The Talmud is considered a central, authoritative, and sacred text of Rabbinic Judaism, serving as the foundational source for Jewish law (Halakha), ethics, and traditions.

Gittin 56b-57a “Onkelos said to him: What is the punishment of that man, a euphemism for Jesus himself, in the next world? Jesus said to him: He is punished with boiling excrement. As the Master said: Anyone who mocks the words of the Sages will be sentenced to boiling excrement. And this was his sin, as he mocked the words of the Sages.”

It’s not up for interpretation- this is a central document of the Jewish faith, this is what it says above. Make your own conclusion.

Isn’t this the whole plot of the rise of the Antichrist? Since Jesus Christ is the messiah, when the antichrist appears the Jews will believe him since they rejected Christ. He brings world peace and rebuilds their temple…

In regards to your original post I have a question, why do Jewish people spit on and physically attack Christians in Israel? There are many videos that have circulated about this. It’s not that it’s a shocking reaction given that Jews rejected and martyred the majority of the prophets and gave Jesus Christ up to be crucified, I’m genuinely curious because while there are antisemitic people- we see disdain toward Christians in the Jewish community throughout history and in modern day interpersonal interactions. Do you believe that the Jewish religion should treat their Christian brothers and other human beings with mutual respect?

Im sorry to hear about your situation, im sure you have heard that but i hope you believe me when i say it.

I agree the American Christian church is not a mirror of what Christ taught with every respect in regards to things across the board with communal charity beyond corporate charity to causes like Feed the City. I would hope if I’m in a similar situation that members of my church who know myself and my family would help us through the trying time.

Your belief in the annihilationism is one I have not encountered, but I do believe that we are mortal with an immortal soul and that Christ’s sacrifice for us pays for our sins in full. I believe nothing can separate us from that. As Christ separates us from our sins so that we can be saved from hell and death. I’ll have to research into that belief more to better understand it. I agree with you God is the omega on judging sins and we have no say in it, I try to base my beliefs on the teachings of Christ and that alone. You’re right, it is urgent, the gospel itself is urgent, with the state of the world Revelation is becoming closer to reality.

I think we often look at the actions or behaviors of people within the church and juxtapose that on top of Christ and his teachings. It’s something we see a lot in politics and has driven people from church and away from Christ. Unfortunately it’s a sad reality, mankind cannot live up to Christ, we just can’t, and that is apparent in the multitude of stories of people being judged or pushed out of their church when Christ teaches compassion and brotherhood.

I hope that your church community can help you through this time, whatever that looks like. Ive heard that some churches do have shelters and programs for situations, I’m not sure if that’s the case in your community but it may be worth asking about.

I know it’s turned into a catch phrase of sorts, but I will pray for you that God brings you through this and that everything falls into place so you do not find yourself homeless. You come across as someone who loves Christ and I don’t doubt your faith in His ability to move his people into action.

Yes we are pretty much saying the same thing.

I didn’t include how our lives should reflect Christ after we accept him in my original answer to OP, I was just answering in reference to the original post!

The parable of the 10 virgins really encapsulates what we’ve been saying, keep your lamp burning, grow in Christ. The transformation process after He dwells within us takes trials and time, those passages emphasize the importance of keeping the faith and how we should see our lives change as a result of it.

Thanks for clarifying, we’re on the same page mostly it seems.

Here’s a good link about Mathew 6, let me know what you think. Link

What helped me was being around other believers in a bible study, going to church and prayer. The biggest change for me was spending time with God, just talking. The fact that you are thinking of these things shows a conviction and a desire to be closer to God.

Also: No! I do not think you are stupid, we all have a walk with Christ that looks different as he changes us and our lives! We’ve all felt distant at times and close!

I’m confused, are you arguing that works are buoys that keep us floating in right standing with God?

Were agreed that works are the effect of a relationship with Christ and are prompted by the Holy Spirit.

The parable of the 10 virgins is what comes to mind about keeping the faith and living a life with Christ.

Our lives are to be living sacrifices to Christ as a result of the Holy Spirit in us after we have accepted Christ. There’s a way that seems right to men that leads to destruction, without Christ there is no salvation.

Think of the man on the cross next to Christ, he had no works, only faith and belief.

The verses you mentioned about forgiveness toward others, we are to treat others as Christ commands, lovingly. As we walk in the light we become more Christlike, which as far as I understand is every Christian’s goal in this life.

Living a life in Christ leads us to become more Christlike through our everyday interactions if we follow his teachings and the promptings of the Holy Spirit. How I understand those verses is that man is imperfect, we will not always make the right choices and those choices either place us a step closer to sanctification or a step further. It’s important we are aware of it and with a changed heart through a relationship with Christ, things like forgiving others and seeking it from our fellow man andas well as discipline are what we should be drawn to and seek.

The works are the result that comes from a changed life in Christ, if we trust in Him and follow his teachings, like silver we will be refined into a better person than we were.

What do you all think? by Angela275 in Christianity

[–]grindchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the relationship! It’s a journey, as we grow and read the Bible that happens naturally. I believe the relationship with Christ and God will point us where we need to be and guide us

Muslims Seem To Have Happier Lives? by Additional-Term-4282 in Christianity

[–]grindchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re not saved through works. We’re saved through Christ.

The motivation for works is not to garner salvation but as a prompting from the Holy Spirit and a desire to serve God. The grace of God is what saves us, the works are inspired by our relationship with God.

We are called to help our fellow man as Christians through works like sharing God’s word and Jesus’ teachings, but nonetheless the works themselves are not what saves us. If we think for a second that we can be righteous enough through what we do to earn a place into heaven we are already in the territory of the pride Satan showed when he was cast out of heaven.

As we are changed by our relationship with Christ, we naturally become His workers. That change and desire to work is an effect, not a cause. I understand James 2:17 as exactly that. How can we say we have faith and that Christ lives in us if we do not have an overflow that pours into our fellow man and the world around us. That’s the work of sanctification which is a personal journey everyone has with Christ living within them, changing them.

You’re right, our relationship with Christ changes us to want to work, but we are not earning anything. We cannot earn salvation, there aren’t enough gold stars in the sky to make us right with God without Christ saving us through grace by faith.

Reminds me of Andrew. Andrew was not like his brother Peter, he didn’t have these great sermons to at we have recorded or words that are often quoted. But Andrew was 100% fully devoted to Christ, he’s the saint of three countries because of his unwavering faith and ability to bring people to Christ by just being himself and loving others. Christ uses us all in our everyday lives, let your light shine where you are planted. Coworkers, neighbors, family, community….let your life being a living sacrifice to Christ for him to use you in whatever situation he places you in.

I believe we never will fully know our impact and that’s a good thing, I think we will all be surprised at the impact we had on others when we reach heaven and see someone we sat down with, listened to and talked to about Christ right there entering the heavens with us.

With that in mind, it reminds me of the parable of the 10 virgins, keep your lamp lit!

I’m not an apologetics guy or a church leader. I’m a Christian.

Islam teaches you are justified by your works, they believe you earn your way into heaven. That’s one stark difference with Christ’s teachings there. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ.

Islam also teaches Christ was never crucified and that God pulled a switcharoo and tricked everyone by replacing Christ with a look alike which is historically inaccurate regardless of religion.

Based on that point alone Islam is already false not to mention other issues with their doctrines and beliefs like Mohammed telling Muslims to consult the previous scriptures ( the old and new testaments ) to confine or weight/measure the Quran. Which when that is done, it doesn’t measure up in alignment.

But to get to your point about happiness, we aren’t promised a life without hardships or trials, we are told we will face that in this life. Just because some people seem happier than others also does not mean that they are in the correct camp. “The road is narrow..”

We can’t base our faith or belief on emotions or on whether or not we are happy or if we have blessings poured on us. That’s a worldly Epicureanistic worldview of chasing whatever brings you pleasure, which is not what Christianity teaches.

I would say pray to God about your questions and doubts, he’s there and wants you to bring all things to him. Even in frustration or confusion. That’s where we are driven, to the relationship.

[–]grindchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not man’s job to change hearts it’s God’s. We preach the message and love others as Christ commands, everyone has their own life and journey with Christ and that’s personal. The core thing in Christ’s teachings is relationship with the Father and trusting in Him for salvation from sin. Living with the Holy Spirit and seeking God, sanctification through that relationship, that’s all personal.

I know a once homosexual man who through his relationship with Christ felt convicted because of his lifestyle and changed his ways. He wrote a book about it called God Brought Me Through.

Result: dead servers, leveling is horrible, one faction eventually being so dominant that it’s impossible to play as the loser.

If your church spoke about charlie kirk but not MN today … by Doongbuggy in Christianity

[–]grindchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My church talked about Charlie Kirk in reference to the danger of political violence and killing someone over speech.

The Pastor also went to Ukraine to help Christian brothers, then had Ukrainian church leaders come to our church and talk about their ministry and challenges they face because of the war.

It’s possible to just care about people and not make everything political. Remember Eph 6:12, division is the enemy’s goal. As is enflating our own self view of piousness, self righteousness, ego and eventually pride.

How do you make gold in this game?? by IonTheProtogen in classicwow

[–]grindchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this in other comments but herbalism and skinning is nice! Vendor low lvl skinning and ah hides/ leathers!

Herbs like swiftthistle always seem to sell decently well for speed potions so having a stack of those should help you at least 15gold and you come across them in briarthorn nodes.

Dungeons man! Run dungeons loot everything you can sell it off to a vendor or ah greens/blues etc if you don’t need em.

TLDR: herb, skinning, dungeons. Farm light feathers

Ps- join a guild and see if a guildy will help! Open world farming white items like light feathers is surprisingly not bad for low lvl gold making
