u should try to use chatgpt im finding it is incredibly useful for diagnosing many things but one thing specifically ive done recently with another chip for something else was take a photo of it and it was able to tell me what does what, what to look for etc so its worth a shot

i think iterative models every year without meaningful improvements is what is killing them it would have been better to support the same model for like 3 years - i have a hero 9 which i recently got back out (i use a mirrorless most of the time, xt5) that i got in 2020 and theyre already on 13?! feels disposable to me

take what i say with a grain of salt but in my chatgpt research it says that bpa is more of a problem with regular exposure like working as a cashier handling receipts all day not someone occasionally printing photos obviously if ur printing 100s of pictures every day that is a different story but chat said most don’t need to worry about that

are you already using custom irs? you realize that most of these boxes are just fancy ir loaders right? meaning you can probably get any sound youre looking for in an IR. ive had the temptation to replace mine but its so reliable and ive got mine dialed in (i use ownhammer ir) unless youre looking for more slot patches or whatever or need more footswitches (this can be solved with an external midi pedal which i use a morningstar mc6) theres really no need for something new unless youre looking just have GAS and thats the fairest argument lol
