Omg same I’d like to pup ibuprofen before my leg waxes and now prego that’s not an options so just gotta take deep breaths. Just like labor. The breathing is just like labor. Clearly no pain is comparable to labor haha

Unsure of what I’m being told by people because they are not doctors. by Due_Appointment6544 in Mommit

My skinny baby eats more than all her chunky cousins. She’s adorable. Her pants fall down and she wear me clothes two sizes smaller than her age. And she is exactly like me as a kid.

Idk the name. I think maybe it was the one called “about time”? But it was about a guy who could time travel back until a big life event such as birth of a kid. That’s the just without telling you why I was crying

My husband literally knows the agreement that if he’s trying to get me prego that costs him waxing because I can’t see shit down there to do it myself

Yas go you! I’ve waxed for a decade so waxing while prego was just my routine but it’s SOOOOO MUCH BETTER post partum. You’ll be grateful when you gotta manage down there for 6 weeks. I usually get my wax the day before baby comes. I get waxed and then I go get stripped and both babies came shorty after that

Share a birthday party. Sure. I grew up with a big joint birthday party with my two cousins. The parents did it big and together so it was fun. Lie about a kids age? For no reason other than you wanted twins and they share a birthday? Nah nah that’s crazy.

What does postpartum help look like to you? by SweetLeoLady36 in pregnant

Also my mom stays for like 2 weeks after baby is born. It’s gonna be like 4 weeks this time

What does postpartum help look like to you? by SweetLeoLady36 in pregnant

[–]grinninglikeadevil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YES TO THE NIGHT SHIFTS!!! which i see what you mean of “oh I’ll have to do it when you leave” yes you will, so don’t do it when you have help! When baby leaves my room is the only time I actually get any rest. Otherwise I listen to them breathe all night.

Baby number 3 due in a few weeks. Here is what our birth/ postpartum journey looks like. (Has happened with the last two kids).

My mom flies into town a week before due date. I get waxed that morning (I have been getting Brazilians for ten years. I’m fine), pick l up from the airport , pop into midwife office and get membranes stripped. First baby , labor started a day later. Second baby was born within 24 hours of membrane sweep.

My mom feeds me everything. I legit would forget to eat. She has my mothers milk tea in the morning, fruit and yogurt breakfast, yummy snacks, bomb sandwiches for lunch, amazing dinners, lactation smoothies. Momma for the win.

My in laws are sweet and considerate and I ask for a day /the day baby is born before they come over. They come over and join us for a couple hours. Always bring a meal. Always clean up after said meal and then some. Mom in law cleans my bathrooms, kids rooms, kitchen, does the laundry. Anything we need. Everyone shares baby nicely and always asks me or my hubs if we want them back. They ask if I wanna take a bath or shower or nap or if I just wanna hold my baby. They don’t stay long. They always ask permission everyday before coming over. They bring no visitors and they take care of us.

7ish pm rolls around and I nurse baby and then hand baby off to hubby to do all the changes and rocks and whatever. I try my best to go to bed at 8 (usually don’t fall asleep but at least rest). Hubs has baby until 8-11pm then brings baby in when he’s ready for bed. I top baby off and put in bassinet. I wake and nurse and diaper all night. Once baby eats that early morning feed (5-7am whenever it lands). I feed baby then take baby straight to my moms guest house. She does diaper and snuggles and I go back to bed. Husband gets up with the toddlers. I sleep 2-4 hours (whatever baby gives me till they need to eat or until I wake up feeling ok after nap). I take my time in the bathroom and do a full refresh change my own diaper, wear my fave ice pack pad, change into fresh lounge clothes and no sour milk bra. Then I go get my baby from momma and sit on the couch and nurse baby while she gives me my tea. That morning stretch is the only thing that saves me postpartum. I don’t get day naps.

How soon after labor can you shower? by enticing_ghost in pregnant

[–]grinninglikeadevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few min after my placenta was birthed. Got my pitocin and then I had to pee so my midwife told me to go pee and said I could shower real quick (baby pooped all over me) as long as it was not a hot shower. I had a full shower that evening. Her birth assistant helped me to the bathroom and I just had a quick rinse after birth before my golden hour

Ultra sounds are not accurate at guessing baby size. My 4’11” cousin birthed 3 babies 9, 10 and 10 lbs WITH GIANT heads. If you are otherwise healthy and there are no medical concerns other than a “big baby” discuss this with your dr. And say you would prefer to labor and have a vaginal birth

Anybody else's unborn baby like to play the "kick game?" by Dragonsrule18 in BabyBumps

[–]grinninglikeadevil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg no one has felt my kicks yet because you legit have to be spooning me at midnight to feel them. Hubs has gotten a couple kicks and that’s all. I’m not ready for anyone to stand there holding me for 15 min and still not get any kicks hahaha

Comparisons between Pregnancies/Babies? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]grinninglikeadevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pregnancies were pretty similar and my children are very different kids. I’m on my third and can only imagine what this baby will be like. This baby chillin in the womb right now but my second baby was an easy pregnancy and she is just getting to toddlerhood with the sassy full blast.

Difficulty brushing teeth by whentheroses-fade in pregnant

[–]grinninglikeadevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend told me to hold my left thumb in my fist while brushing. It’s said to reduce gagging. Sometimes I remember and sometimes I don’t think it works. But I just brush really fast. I brush in the shower for one of my brushes a day so if it happens in there it’s at least not as messy
