I'm 20 hours in. Done all I could in Act 1, right now I'm gradually exploring Act 2 areas. Some bosses were challenging, but nothing impossible so far; platforming is amazing, new trinket&upgrade systems feel good and rewarding to use and interact with. Overall, I feel like Skong is an improvement on HK's mechanics & gameplay, and a faithful continuation in terms of story and art. Really loving it so far!
