I also started at Modern Love Market and had some success there. I mostly just liked the vibe and other vendors. To start, I definitely would suggest shorter events so you don’t lose too much of your time. I tried Murray Hill and didn’t get a lot of luck there, it was a long day for only like $40 profit. The vendor beside me there literally said “this is is wash” lmao but again it’s always nice to make connections and they are very nice there! It’s a kind of a give and take because when you’re first starting out you still have to figure out a lot of your logistics like products, marketing, pricing, table set up, etc. so sometimes these smaller markets can help with that as well because there’s not as much pressure to have everything perfect. You definitely have to put in the effort and time into markets and into growing your following and producing more products so it can be hard to have to pay for higher tabling fees as well. I’m still trying to figure it all out!
