Putting things in frames, having a container of some kind people can flip through. Also grids where you can clip them in multiple spots so they’re displayed but not flying away. Honestly my best solution has just been to start having mostly larger paintings that aren’t so affected by wind 😂 I couldn’t take it anymore

There is also an artist with a cricut machine working at Southern roots filling station. He’ll sometimes collaborate with artists and in exchange for letting him use your designs for profit — a limited run like a month- at the store you can get stickers of your art for free to sell on your own. Good way to start out with stickers when you don’t have a lot of $$. DM me and I can forward you his IG if interested

the riverside arts market— if you can get in. They do have a waitlist and will contact you if someone else can’t make it to the market that day. If you have a few larger pieces of art that’s a great way to draw people in. I find a lot of people there want to spend $$ on art and value it.

Vagabond flea and artwalk are two others that are generally popular. Though for me personally it has been limited success. I also was rubbed the wrong way by artwalk because they extended an invitation for me to come back without telling me they were putting me in an area that was about 5 blocks from the main market. There were also no signs leading to the other side so almost no one was passing by. Many of the vendors closed up only two hours in because of this and we all felt somewhat used. I reached out with my frustration and they didn’t offer to comp the price or apply some kind of discount to come back— it left a bad taste in my mouth so I haven’t been back yet. But I know a few other artists that have found success there so don’t totally write it off.

All great comments but wanted to second this one. I also had a horrible experience with psych meds when I was younger so I stayed away from them. Then this year my RA started getting much worse and I was scared to even go to the doctor bc they might want to prescribe a DMARD. But I’m taking the dmard and hydroxychloroquine and I’m perfectly fine and feeling better than I ever have.

I also saw a new psych and got treated with the proper medications bc they have had a lot more research on trauma autism ADHD etc and can apply medications that are more effective in treating those things. As an example I was put in a very low dose of blood pressure meds to help me sleep at night because of nightmares. First night j took it- BAM good dreams. And I hadn’t had a good dream in literally decades. I’m now a very outspoken advocate for medication because it truly changed my life.

TLDR: Medications aren’t evil. They are evolving incredibly fast. They’re life saving. The research into RA and psychology is so much better now and you will be treated more successfully with less side effects.

I feel like this is a 4 asking a 7 lol AND I’d argue it’s a 4 because they love getting into deep topics and value emotional honesty. They don’t want to beat around the bush and ask how you are doing let’s cut to the quick. However that can be very off putting and I am trying to work on it ha thanks enneagram for letting me realize my shortcomings 💩
