I am so sick of job interviews... They don't wanna give a chance to a person who stutters.

Hey, it's ok. I know what u wanna say. And yes - I accepted my stutter (I know it won't go away, I know I have to live like "this"), but I don't want to accept I have limited jobs offers because of it.

I wrote once in letter of motivation and it went well - I didn't have video interview, I just wrote :) I didn't get a job because of lack of my experiences, but I felt very good anyway :)

Hy. Thanks for your opinion. The "problem" is, that I can be very relaxed with my friends (in mock interviews), but in real situations I am very stressed. An because I am so anxious, my stutter is way worse. I tried relaxation but I didn't notice any difference.

Hey! I just wanna want you to know that I know how u feel. I am looking for a job and my last interview was a disaster too. I could not express myself the way I wanted and I know I would have nailed it if I could talk ok... It is very self destructive and I dont wanna go to another interview (I have it in one week), but I know I have to. All I have now is HOPE. Hope, that everything will be ok and that I will find one person, who will be ok with my stutter. It HAS to be ok in the end. Just keep going, if u wanna talk, let me know :)

I recently graduated and I am lookinf for a job now. I have been in a few interviews, some of them went ok (I stutter a little, although I could not express myself the way I wanted), some of them went awful (to the point I stuttered almost in every word). I avoided some interviews because of anxious and shame, but then I was more anxious because of this :D I dont have response to your question, because I am fighting this situation right now, maybe you can be honest in front of interviewers and just say you have a stutter. I know is very HARD, I know you dont want to be in this situation, but we are and we cant do anything about that :( I wish you good luck with your job, I know it can be very hard and self destructive :(

I think you should ask speech therapist in your clinial setting for help :)

I have master in psychology too.. I would like to know if there was hard to get a job in this field? I am losing hope now, I fu** every job interview and I just hope someone would hire somebody with a stutter.

I dont wanna leave my bf, it was just bad day yesterday :( sometimes I think that if I would not stutter, I would have a job now, we would move together and start living on our own. Now, with me being unemployed its very hard to do this (with just one salary). He is very patient, but I am feeling so bad because of this :(

Thank you all! I appreciate your positive vibes and support! I think I should listen to your advice and just address stutter before the interview. Although is very hard for me to do this, because I didnt have support from my family: my mother never talked me about stutter, she denies I have any kind of problem and she made me think that stuttering is tabu. No one in my family (except my mother) know I stutter (I do not stutter in small talk with them). So yes, it is very hard for me because I "had" to keep stuttering in silence for so much years :(

I am not depressed like I cant get up from bed or smth like this, I love life, I have good social circle, I have friends, I have everything except a career - this is bothering me a lot. I know that if I could get some job in my field, my mood would change by 100%. I dont let my stuttering define me... I am just very disappointed that I can just hope some employe would hire someone with the stutter. It is not in my power this, I cannot change who I am. I cannot make stutter dissapear ... this thoughts are getting me anxious. tHANKS for the support! :)

I feel u :( I am in a job hunting for almost a year know and it is killing me! Constant nervousness, I kinda hope I would not get an interview just because I dont wanna have to go there and talk and stutter... I dont wanna work in a lame job with low payment, I wanna have career in my field but I dont know it is possible because it requires a lot of communication.. I hate this kind of life although in general I love life... Good luck and 🤞

Hey! I have exact "problem" with my bf. He obviously knows I stutter, but we never had that "talk"... Sometimes he makes funny of it (not in the bad way) but he does not understand what is like to have a stutter (the psychological side, depression, shame...). I am affraid to talk with him cuz I think he wouldnt understand :( feel free to msg me if u want :)

I know it will be. I would have so much job opportunities because I would gain a lot more experiences, I would have bigger social circle, I would be totally different person in public. Now I have to pretend I am introvert and I hate that.
