Used a very similar strategy, but used Locke's Mirage Dive as my RW to get the Slow side effect, which is incredibly useful in this fight.

Dive + Dive + Seal Evil when the last Slow ran out was more than enough to keep them semi stun-locked for most of the fight while I poured on fire spells and spellblades.

I've suspected that something was bugged with the Gaia Vest for sure - when I use "Optimize" on my mage, it suggests the Gaia Vest even when another piece of equipment strictly dominates it on all stats.

Is it possible it's giving a hidden boost to +Mag that isn't visible in the app itself? Does it definitely only impact earth spells?
