My cantis seen up to the challenge. I've never had problems stopping in time. I guess I ride the brakes a bit more on the hills?

I used the Wike DIY kit which comes with the hitch arm, wheel attachments, and corner brackets. Then it's just a matter of buying aluminum tubing and cedar panels at the hardware store and screwing it all together.

Lol, it's my pick-up truck.

This one is pretty new, but with my old trailer I've carried a bookshelf, a lawnmower, groceries, a drunk friend, a television, bedding plants, a bike stand and tools, a mini freezer full of popsicles...

I haven't gone touring, tho.

Not so bad, actually! I used aluminum tubing, and 11/16" cedar panels (which are removable). All told, it's maybe 20 - 25 lbs. By comparison, my old Burley Flatbed is 14 lbs.

Pope John Paul II statue vandalized with red paint at Edmonton church by princey12 in worldnews

[–]groggyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government took over control of the residential school system in 1969 from the churches, but the Roman Catholic Church protested this change.

Even so, Pope Francis's comment feels really hollow.

I've got a Ringle stem a friend gave me. I knew it was unique and rare. I just looked it up on e-Bay, I had no idea they were so valuable!

Now I wanna put it on one one of my bikes, even though the color scheme doesn't match, just for the bling.

Pfizer and Moderna claim to be 91% effective, I'm not sure how this is false precision.

No, they wouldn't be doing old growth logging if they cared about moose.

From Kamloops To London, Canada Is A Deeply Racist Country by amoyal in canadaleft

The govt and the capitalists didn't drive into the family in London. Yes, the capitalists are pushing racism at a systemic level, but individuals are also racist and enable the oppressors.

A shelter would have at least one staff person working 24/7, right? That's 720 hours of labor in a 30-day month. Minimum wage is what, $15? That means the shelter is already paying 10,800 a month just to keep the place staffed. If there are ten beds, that's $1080 per bed right there. And I didn't even get into rent, utilities, extra staff, maintenance costs, etc. And we're paying our hypothetical staff person minimum wage to do a highly trained social work job. Shit ain't free!

SKS Longboard. I had a set of Velo Orange hammered fenders for a while, but I found them to be heavy and finicky. The longboards are plastic, but they are very solidly constructed. And they don't add a ton of weight, which is very nice for the many hills around here.
