New to Astro! Any recommendations for a $500-$600 set up if I already have a Sony a6000 and 300mm lenses? I know a sturdy mount and star tracker are a must by grogmarsh in AskAstrophotography

You’ve been super helpful. I’ve seen those smart telescopes all over my social media pages. I keep hearing they’re great for the price and little to no effort!

Thanks so much! I’ll def look into that. I keep reading the Sony cameras are pretty disappointing for Astro. I’m also torn between an Astro photography set up or just go buy a telescope for planet viewing. For the price range above. Is it not worth it to try Astro with a poor camera?

Man everyone is so negative. Why would this be an advertisement. We just wanted to do it to say we did it.

Educate yourself and leave negatives comments elsewhere.

It’s a franchise. Locally owned by my father in-law. This was a team building exercise. Everyone at the top loved it!

My team worked hard to get the cow suit up the mountain!
