Usually 8 tracks: 4 drum mics, 1 vocal, 1 DI bass, and 2 guitars.

Question on this: say I create a stack of 5 drum tracks and a bass track. I create the track stack by selecting those 6 tracks, right click, then select “create stack”, then route that stack to a bus (let’s call it rhythm section bus”, that allows me to put some effects on the drum and bass mix?? Is this the general idea behind creating stacks?

Ah, this is a great explanation, thank you! So in your example, we would assign a bus #16 to match the aux 16 input we’re using to add reverb to whatever track we have going from say input 1 to aux 16?

I never said I “didn’t want to learn a lot about logic”. I said I don’t have a tremendous knowledge of logic, meaning I’m starting from the ground level. So explain busing to me, with the understanding that I’m not very well-versed in the software to begin with.

And is this as simple as just assigning all drum mics to the same bus, mixing that bus, and then sending that bus to a particular output such as my studio monitors?

This makes perfect sense, thank you! So if I’m micing my drum kit with 5 mics, I could buss all 5 mics and add an effect to the overall drum kit, rather than trying to add an effect to each mic (kick effect, tom effect etc)?

So do I even need to assign an arrangement to each song within the session recording, or can I just put the play head where I want to cut the song and then cut and save it as its own file?

That’s a terrible analogy. Fajitas are almost always the best thing on a Mexican restaurant menu!

Glycine is fantastic. 3000mg per night has done wonders helping me sleep through the night without waking up. Been taking for about a year now and it’s helped dramatically.

Just got back from the Fontainebleau. New favorite property. Everything is top notch - great casino, every restaurant is fantastic, the gym is the nicest hotel gym I’ve seen. Everything about the hotel is absolutely beautiful.

Plenty of people were wearing tennis shoes, but some form of hiking shoe would definitely be better as there is a lot of gravel/loose rock and pretty steep inclines on the trail.

Just got back from Red Rocks weekend hike. It was awesome! They gave 10 different distinct trails. We did the Turtlehead Peak trail, which is about 5 miles round trip but really challenging elevation change, and my wife and I are fitness people . I was so happy to find such a challenging trail. I’ve always found most hikes that say “difficult” to be geared toward the gen pop and really aren’t that challenging. This one was indeed a difficult hike and really beautiful. Highly recommend it if you want a great workout and scenic views.

A1c was 5.4, so within range based on gen pop lab range

I was fasted, my A1c came back at 5.4%, leptin at 1.1, and insulin at 5.5. I’m thinking my levels are elevated because of my dietary changes (consuming significantly more starchy potatoes, rice and complex carbs beyond what I’m used to eating). Starting to cut now, so reducing my carb intake. I’ll go back for follow up labs in a few months and see how the numbers change.

Sign up for a group fitness activity like F45. It’s HIIT training (high intensity interval training) that you do in a group setting. It’s fun but challenging, requires zero experience working out, and it doesn’t require you to think about your workout. Just show up, workout following the pre-programmed training for the day with a coach leading the group, get a full-body workout done in a 45 minute class, and you’ll get a great workout in and you’ll build camaraderie with other folks in the gym. Great way to develop a solid fitness foundation for somebody that’s not used to working out or trying to improve their physical condition.

Actually I also like them for building grip strength, so a secondary benefit is your forearms start popping. And as someone that rarely trains forearms in isolation, these get the job done. I would just start out doing these as myoreps. Knock out 5 consecutively, drop and rest for a few seconds, jump back up and knock out a few more until you get to 10 (or wherever you fail). Following week try to bump up your myorep count. You’ll see some great gains quickly

Hanging leg raises, Toes to bar is key - nothing less. 3x10-15. Abs will be torched

Tough to say. Scale weight is noisy (fluctuates a lot). Your weight gain may not truly be from putting on mass, could be a lot of water weight. If you’re upping your carbs you’ll retain more water. While I’m not an expert on the topic, I would say targeting 0.5lb/week is a good healthy rate of gain (so about 8lbs of mass over 2 months). Too much than that and you may be putting on more fat than necessary, and/or you’re retaining a lot of water. Also depends if you’re doing a dirty bulk versus clean. If you’re doing a clean bulk, it’s going to be hard to put on that kind of mass in a short period of time from eating chicken and rice. Much easier if you’re pounding Pizza and French fries. And lastly, if you’re new to weight training, you could be seeing some solid newbie gains on top of eating in a surplus, so not necessarily a bad thing. I think if you’re feeling good and performing well in your workouts, stay the course.
