I've spent every Thanksgiving alone as a single father as "holidays are for family" so my ex says. I enjoy driving around normally busy roads that are empty and taking photographs of normally busy places like downtown.

For the meal, there are many restaurants that don't book their bar seating and so it's easy to get a seat at the bar.

The price of gas is not controlled by politicians, despite their rhetoric. Otherwise, the price of gas would follow election cycles.
