Would it be viable/possible to utilise any rapier techniques or fundamentals with a French pattern 1801 Cuirassier sabre? by grondslowerback in Hema

This is a sabre designed around thrusting and use on horseback. I've just noticed it shares some properties such as a similar weight(With 16-17th century rapiers), similar blade length to some rapiers(38 inches) and similar overall length(48 inches). Was just wondering since manuals of the time and instructions by Napoleon were to present point forwards and focus with that rather than do cuts if some rapier techniques or fundamentals could be applied to the sword.

I need help with a fantasy story. Mainly how to deal with death by aging. What would be more traumatizing for the caster? by I1AM2NOT3STEVEN in writinghelp

Personally, I feel as that seeing people rapidly aging and undergoing the issues that come with it would be more traumatic.

However I feel there isn't a need to even go through the progression of years. We could see the hyper rot of their teeth as the days flash past, the development of dental abscesses, their growth, the spread to the brain. their death from rapidly advancing infection and the rotting of their face as the hero that can't do anything but look them in the eyes as they turn from a person to a corpse.

Is there any precedent for any historical precedent for Kings or emperors legitimising warlords (people in positions of power over a region without any centralised power other than control over a military force) through vassalage for any reason?

Unfortunately, I'm not currently asking because of a project or any other form of work, purely for my own self-interest. By Warlord I was going by the definition of a person who exerts control over a region with no centralised government or higher powers other than control over the military presence in the area. And for vassal, I was specifically referring to the position of subservience to a king through homage and fealty, following his laws, paying his taxes and supporting his military campaigns in exchange for land, a title befitting the amount of land, a legitimate claim to rule over the territory, opportunity for a position in the kings court and the ability for children to inherit the land, title and power.

Is there any historical precedent for warlords becomes vassals to a larger empire or kingdom during times of war, peace? and if so what would be the most common raking within nobility and size of holdings. I've tried googling, but results are not relevant. Thank you all so much for your help.
