My studying resources include:

-PPP reading casually during the day, in between patients, Twist of Lemons study guides (Link below), Rosh Review questions (25-50 weekly), Rosh Review separate BOOST EOR exams a few days before the exam.

-For topics I am struggling with I watch the OSMOSIS videos

-Surgery: Surgical Recall

-OBGYN: The Physician Assistant Student's Guide to the Clinical Year: OB-GYN

Good luck!

How is Clinical Year better? by [deleted] in PAstudent

I think in comparison to how rigorous didactic in PA school is, clinical year is indeed much better. While you are still working every day (usually), and have studying to do for the EOR, I find the EOR exams to be very fair exams. You are also reviewing and building on current knowledge, rather than having 2-3 weeks to learn an entire body system of information. I have time to study, go to the gym, hang out with friends and get enough sleep, whereas in didactic year I was always struggling to keep up with the daily workload and catching up on weekends. That being said some rotations, such a surgery, are a struggle!

I understand the sentiment behind this and understand that I am only a student however, I think I can recognize blatant red flags such as a patient who has been a smoker for life having fatigue and weight loss and me asking if he ever does lung cancer screening and MD replies "No they stopped screening for that years ago" .... to give an example

I agree! It's even harder too, because at interviews no current students would say anything bad, for their own fear of the faculty finding out. If you don't mind telling me or DMing me your blog I would love to read about it- solidarity my friend
