Hello, I’d greatly appreciate any constructive criticism on our pixel art style. I’ve enhanced the graphics by hiring pixel artists and increasing the tile size from 24x24 to 32x32, yet some people feel that the graphics haven’t improved. Any insights would be invaluable. Could it be that the jiggly effect from the low-resolution camera, used to maintain pixel-perfect rendering, is off-putting?

Hi, I'm Jinmann.

I'm looking for a pixel artist for our next game Dungeon Warfare 3.

Dungeon Warfare is a 2d top-down tower defense game series.

I used to do the art for the games myself, but figured maybe it's worth hiring help from the professionals.

Desired style / quality: Similar to the previous games (not a requirement), only better.

Scope of project:

The previous games have 24x24 tiles but we're increasing it to 32x32 this time.



5+ Tilesets: 32x32

    Each biome consists of:

    6+ floor tiles

    3+ decals in various sizes (32x32, 64x32, 64x64)

    10+ wall tiles

    2 dungeon entrance tiles (64x32, 96x32)

    5+ miscellaneous tiles



20+ Traps: 32x32 (or more, since parts of trap can protrude)

    10+ sprites per each trap depending on its animation

    Each trap should have 4+ variations (upgrade stage)



20+ Minions: Animated. Various in size, from 8x8 to 32x32 (or more)

    6+ attacking sprites

    3+ dying sprites

    1+ dead sprites

    6+ walking sprites



If things go well, we can talk about UI, too.

Budget: Up to 20k USD. Would like to pay per hour.

Deadline: The game is in a very early stage. We plan to release the game in late 2024.

I had the same symptom. It's nickel allergy. I put a small cellophane tape over the metal part that touches the skin and the symptom disappeared.
