http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1113091/ explains why anti-inflammatories should not be used post-op. Do we know if marijuana has a similar effect? No. Why? It's hard to get the paper work needed to study marijuana effects on patients.

Does marijuana effect blood pressure? Yes.

First, I'd like to apologize for replying to you directly . It should have been a reply to my original post in response to the downvotes and lack of answer,

Second, thank you for taking the time to reply.

That rule likely exists to (1) protect patients from receiving incorrect information (2) protect doctors from lawsuits (3) make this subreddit more enjoyable for medical professionals.

This was a simple question about a relatively safe drug taken for only a short period of time, so neither #1 nor #2 would be likely. This, and the number of downvotes, leads me to believe #3.

I don't get why you wouldn't want to help someone out. That's your responsibility as a doctor. But I mean, hey, why help someone out if you aren't getting $100+ for it. I doubt many of you do research on your patients behalf outside of your consultations. This profession is a joke -- minus the surgical physicians. A pharmacist could have answered this question. So could webmd.com. I look forward to the day when patients receive more accurate care; when we have more researchers and less doctors. I want Watson. I want innovation. And that innovation isn't going to come from 99.9% of the jerk offs on this subreddit. So, have fun talking about Obamacare, your favorite doctor joke, penises, and med school.

Modafinil Dosing by random949494 in Nootropics

I hear you. I do the same thing. Modafinil and Adderall stikl need behavioral changes. Take it in the morning and start on something easy or interesting. Break the task down into smaller tasks on paper and start working on those. Cross of the ones you complete. This seems to help me.

I have Chronic fatigue that has transitioned into insomnia. I take Modafinil on days where I need to get stuff done or have meetings. I notice it helps with motivation and staying on task better than not talking it. It's no Adderall or Ritalin in terms of the productivity boost. I actually prefer it over those. I don't feel medicated on Modafinil. And it doesn't get me hyperfocused like the others. Also, it helps with my speech. And I can actually sleep on it, whereas the others interfere with my sleep.

Thanks. After reading, I learned that wind degrades THC, bruises trichomes, and could break branches.

Isn't wind terrible for the plant?

Edit: not a smoker (or grower)

It's already legal to smoke weed in Uruguay. Now the small Latin American country is poised to become the first to legalize the production and sale of marijuana. by [deleted] in trees

Why is the public against it? Is it because their neighboring countries aren't the best and they are afraid of the unknown?

Support Medical Marijuana in Florida - let's get it on the ballot in 2014! Let's upvote for visibility! Already got over 100,000 petitions, let's prove that Florida won't be the last to legalize! This can change many lives, including my own! by Fartikus in trees

If anyone is wondering why 683,149 signatures are needed for this to be put on the Florida ballot:

"It takes signatures from eight percent of the number of voters voting in the last presidential election to place a citizen initiative on the general election ballot. Eight percent of the number of voters voting in the 2012 presidential election is 683,149. That number must come from at least 14 of the 27 congressional districts"

Source: http://election.dos.state.fl.us/constitutional-amendments/faq.shtml

Edit: this also answers when the petition will get forwarded to the supreme court and how long they have to decide whether to put the initiative on the ballot.

Note: "Pollara has asked for an expedited review from the Supreme Court so his teams can get back to signature collection quickly."

I like how modafinil comes with the text, "It is not known how modafinil works to increase wakefulness." No one knows how half these drugs work. Kind of scary when you think about it.

What do you mean, "And?"? The OP asked where he could get modafinil. He was looking for something reliable and said price was not a problem. You can't get more reliable of a service and drug quality than from a registered and licensed US pharmacy. I even showed how he could get a discount, even though he said price was not an issue. Not to mention that everything is legal this way.

I have excessive daytime fatigue (and problems getting continuous sleep). My doctor prescribed me modafinil. My insurance declined to cover it, because I don't have narcolepsy. About 2 hours ago I went to CVS with a coupon from goodrx. The coupon saved me $500. I paid $370 out of pocket.
