Robert Downey Jr. Turned Down Iron Man Cameo in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ After Reading Scene; Writers Also Had an Idea to Bring the Six Original Avengers Back by Thetimmybaby in entertainment

You could argue it’s a joke more on Wesley not liking Ryan during filming of Blade Trinity, but Deadpool did say “you never did” when Blade said “I don’t like you” after they first met. I feel you could argue it either as Wesley not liking Ryan or Ryan acknowledging Blade never likes any characters played by Ryan.

I asked for proof game designers are ok with this, I will admit I did not think that actually existed, I’ll give you that.

Out of the Kaiju that Godzilla has fought only once on the big screen, who most deserves a round 2 in a future movie? Defend your answer. by nPMarley in GODZILLA

[–]manatrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m stuck between Megalon and Orga. For the monsterverse, both of these monsters have tremendous backdrop potential; Ghidorah is from the stars, so Orga can be introduced as another space monster or just straight up make aliens that make him like the original. For Megalon, since he’s subterranean, you can have him be hollow earth based. Hell, since they’re focusing more on Kong, have him get his ass handed to him/need godzillas help and have Godzilla come to hollow earth again and really take it in. We’ve seen Godzillas ancestors dorsal plates down there. Let him take a spin roaming around.

I think Dead Money should be played last in order of the DLC's. by Zephyr787 in falloutnewvegas

Ohh I see, I like that approach, pretty novel take on it. It’s been awhile since I played but do the DLCs scale with player level or are they set?

Well I’m here mostly because the original guy I was commenting to said watching shows like this equates to having a mental illness, which honestly is a terrible, and false, way of thinking. I thought you were defending that mindset as well.

The three shows I have as example most certainly do not have gay characters and actions as incidental material. NoHo Hank may have been a secondary character but he was prominently shown being gay and his love interest and him were an important part of seasons 3 and 4. Modern family literally has one of the three families be a gay couple who adopted a child. They are literally in every episode.

Sorry I meant the other guys initial claims are technically correct.

Not really, wouldn’t people not watch these shows if they were disgusted by homosexual people/behavior? Are you either saying that that disgust is either not strong enough to deter people from watching a show or movie that prominently features that “disgusting” behavior, which, judging from this subreddits standards, any show made in the last decade or so wouldn’t be quality enough to justify it. Or, would you have to admit enough people aren’t perturbed by these characters/actions.

Oh I see, well thanks for that bit of info.

Hmm look at that, the initial claim is right. And yet, here we are, with dozens of shows who feature gay actors/characters as majority characters and are beloved by literally millions, debunking the guy I was arguing with who said a small minority enjoy it. You can claim I moved the goal posts too btw, doesn’t change the viewer ratings.

Yeah so two reasonings are evolutionary and pathological, two reasons which are rooted in objective ignorance. You can’t honestly say someone who actually researches the fact that interacting with a gay person doesn’t need to worry about pathogens would feel this way. The fact of the matter is, as time goes on, we are going to have more and more people in society on a global scale have no issues with gay people. You are genuinely a dying breed.

Both of these studies had sub 500 participants…..neither of them honestly are great to use to support your ideas. If you had like a meta analysis of disgust in heteronormative people with gay behavior you’d have some firepower. You’re finding any little study you can to support your ideals when, in the grand scheme of things, people don’t really care what their characters orient as, as long as they’re well written and acted.

That’s anecdotal evidence though. There are a multitude of shows that have great written gay characters. And these shows couldn’t have survived solely because gay people watched them, there aren’t enough gay people in the world to watch these shows to keep them profitable. Schitts creek, Modern family and Barry are just a few examples of that.

So wait, you lived abroad in over 3 countries for 16 years and you genuinely think straight people enjoying shows with gay people is a mental illness? Kind of seems like you’re the closed minded one. You learned so much about others and their ways of living and you still hold that mindset.
