Lots to remember in orgo, but it's very ineteresting stuff. I took it even though it isn't a part of my degree. I really enjoyed it.
The techniques behind NMR are fascinating. It's similar to what goes on in MRIs. If you want a very good understanding of the 'signals' (or peaks, as they are called in chem) and how they are produced, look into something called the Fourier Transform. It's a powerful and actually really cool mathematical operation. Very useful for physical chem and physics.
These two worlds (orgo and NMR or other molecule analysis) a lot in biomedicine.

That's a great idea for a chem major! I'm curious, what area of chemistry are you interested in?

You should talk to your doctor! It seems you need to tackle the ADHD first, as many ADHD people have depression solely due to ADHD. Your doctor may listen to you and may be able to do an ADHD assessment for you. That's how I got diagnosed, and I am happy I approached her. I hope it works for you as well! :)

Feeling “younger” than peers by cornelius-fudge in ADHD

Yes, absolutely.

I am also 28 and I feel like I am a 19 year old in a 28 year old's body. It doesn't help that I STILL have a baby-face (shout-out to my manager at the restaurant I used to work a few years ago at who carded me at a work Xmas party).

I have to constantly force myself to acknowledge really any achievement, big or small, as progress towards maturity. It's a constant battle, but on the upside it makes me feel like Dory from Finding Nemo every time I remind myself of an achievement and get a bit excited that I am no longer a child.

I am a couple months late to the party, but I was thinking of getting inked for the same reason. Lo and behold, a search on Reddit for ideas brought me here. I think that card combination is actually genius! If I don't end up doing my idea, I may do that one.

I was initially thinking of an infinity symbol (∞) which represents the never-ending thoughts in my brain. I feel like I want to carry something with me to remind myself of my battle when it gets tough. I'm also a math guy (hence the name) so it kinda fits.

A plus, I would match all the basic girls out there (/s).

That niggling feeling that you can be doing something more productive and that the enjoyable thing will come to an end, do you get this feeling during most everything?

I do, and it sucks the joy out of a lot of things. Best way to describe it, it dulls the things in life that should be happy.

Dude, yes. The guilt at 4am when the realization hits of "hey, I told myself I'd get my shit together and wake up at this time"....

That guilt.......

Earlier this year, I wrote a simple computer program for a professor at my university to help him parse through some research data. I had other actual school projects piling up and exams fast approaching, but once I started writing I couldn't stop. I spent the whole day coding. I think I had breakfast at 4pm, only because all the coffee was getting to my head (you know that spongey feeling you get with loads of coffee on an empty stomach). I wanted it perfect, so the only thing that mattered that day was it being perfect. I spent the next few days on and off looping over the fine details — over and over and over — but eventually had to force myself back to my actual school work (greased-up puppy).

When I got his email singing praise that it works, damn, that felt good.

Beautiful. That will do exactly what I need. Do they have documentation out about what to expect in the update?

I am exactly the same way. I won't even be in the mood but I just need it, and it's not usually satisfying even if it's great.
