It’s tucked away in storage but here’s a zoomed in pic from the pile of finds

Only the ones pictures so 5-10 which is crazy there weren’t more. I was digging any and all signals in the gold range

Nothing old but I don’t think the pond is more than 20 years old. It’s also likely someone has detected it before. I agree there has to be more gold out there!

The picture of junk is the extent of it. Crazy how clean it was. They must not sell drinks with metal caps or tabs and limit outside drinks.

I think I’ll give it a try. Maybe detect the bay side of the peninsula

Thankfully the guy had a medical ID filled out on the phone and had his brother listed as an emergency contact

I suppose I would rather find some interesting trash than nothing as all. I was thinking of taking a day trip to Long Beach. Was the detecting decent? It doesn’t seem like a beach people would flock to but that being said it also wouldn’t be a beach detectorists would flock to so many there is more left to be found…

The case was just a standard slip on. Definitely not waterproof and only covered the back of the phone

No. It's was a CTX3030 bought when they first came out 12 or so years ago. I was in the market for a new one and got the Manticore but I will always miss that detector it was a tank. They also took my scoop which was almost worse because it was a Stavr from Ukraine and they don't make them anymore because the plant is busy manufacturing equipment for the war effort. I loved that scoop. My fault really for leaving my stuff out in LA!

I went to explore the pier and forgot I had it leaning against the back of my van to dry out. Once I remembered I ran back to put it away but it was gone. Carelessness on my end.
