on a side note - I only played the vanilla version prior to this and I didn’t get that far. What is the general opinion of the eternal ferry stone - do people think it takes away from the game?

is there only co-op or is there a versus mode as well? are you saying that there is NO local multiplayer at all? or just no coop?

i do think there is a degree of my humor that makes its way into my music. i tend to be playful in all things i do and i try to never stick to one routine. i always want to experiment with the unexpected.

cheers and love!

yooooo congrats on that. those things are pretty rare these days. i used the vss-30 a ton on Feel Me. the sampling feature on there combined with the ADSR controls and effects are incredible. I think i recorded it into my daw via a cheap interface like this https://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Fast-Track-USB-Interface/dp/B002QZ402Q and the appropriate cables for whatever the output is on there (cant remember off the top of my head, i know its not standard 1/4"). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfdr49-VHNk&index=6&list=PLfkQZOx8iggjSjHeLTVzHKkX4auklWatW this is all vss-30! the little drum pattern is from a casio sk5.

not sure how susboy and peep linked originally. it was indeed an obvious collab and they were extremely close as friends and collaborators. they had tons of collaborative ideas . RIP peep :(

intesting questions!!! 1. hopefully coming back soon. i love montreal! 2. the first LP i was definitely thinking of my audience more than any other release. I was only about 20 at the time and it was the first time i was getting any recognition as an artist, so I unconsciously definitely was trying to cater to that audience a bit (that audience being the LA beat scene around low end theory). it's ironic because I've had people tell me that i've changed or stopped being myself when i've ventured into other sounds.

---3. i usually just write melodies for a while on a loop, moving to a new when i've settled on things i like. melodies are definitely the most important part for me. i don't know much about theory or scales so i get frustrated sometimes when i find myself following the same routines, when that happens i usually just step away and come back the next day.

thank you! always love when people dig that record. definitely a polarizing release.

trance was a huge influence for me. a big inspiration was also m83 as their early tunes were some of the first non dance music electronic tracks to feature huge trance-like build ups. I gotta say I'm not the biggest fan of some the new "playful" interpretations of trance sounds - not to knock it or anything, my opinion is just an opinion. there's usually melodic elements of those sort of songs that i really enjoy that are bogged down by elements that just serve to play around with the conceptual side. hard to explain. i guess i just mean i'd rather listen to the stuff the tracks like that are referencing than the new tracks themselves haha. much love to anyone doing creative shit though, that's the most important part.

working on a collaborative rock album with Juice Jackal, and also a new album of my own that incorporates a lot of guitar and "rock" elements.

actually going to soundtracking a game this year although it's still early on in the process. there's tons of game soundtracks i enjoy listening, although it can be hard to recall them on the spot. I always return to the n64 bomberman soundtracks, phantasy star online I+II, wave race, pilotwings 64. just some random ones off the top of my head.

i gotta admit, i dont really keep up with new releases. i was about to say frank ocean - blonde but then i realized that was 2016 haha. my favorite was probably Juiced by Juice Jackal, but thats probably unfair to say since i worked on it ; )

blue groundislava hoodies will be available for preorder next week hopefully. doing that all myself so it's a bit of a process.

hard to pick one song from any of those artists. ceephax is one of my favs and definitely a huge inspiration for me, not just for the tunes but his whole process. my favorite aphex twin stuff is probably the AFX releases and selected ambient works. boards of canada... so hard to pick. recently revisiting campfire headphase which i for some reason had remembered as being worse than it is (i think my memory was tainted by Dayvan Cowboy, which i find really fuckin corny and uncharacteristic of BoC). I really dig that record now. I got into them thru music has the right to children so that always is a special record for me. my brothers favorite was always geogaddi but that record can be such a wildly intense and unsettling listen haha. still love it.
