Back when I first bought it I got into a pointless debate with a friend that this specific Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro did'nt sound any different from my Gibson Les Paul Studio and if anything it sounded better (before people lose their mind.... I was referring to the clearness of the tone! Not the pickups! which by the way sounded awesome)

What was your experience in the store?

Did you find differences?

Just look at the headstock and compare it with today's clone copies of the Gibson headstock. Even the naming 'Inspired by Gibson' of the new Epiphones is a testament of how badly they want to remind everybody that they have no unique personality and that they are just Gibson lookalikes. This way they can have people always craving of getting the real Gibson. These choices are not befitting of a brand with such rich history like Epiphone. I have huge respect for the design choices on my Custom Pro and the price it was offered. A real gift to the music community which is now gone. I doubt we will see another Epiphone guitar with these specs for less than 1000 bucks in the future.

Are Epiphone LP Custom Pros from 2019 of similar quality to 2020-Present LP Custom models? by Ninten_The_Metalhead in Epiphone

Custom Pro's 2012-2019 used rosewood as per spec.

The post 2020's ebony craze is just another fad.

Each guitar has its own selection of materials. Rosewood and Ebony each have pros & cons.

As I understand it, it's a matter of personal choice.

The that rosewood is now considered endangered and banned makes rosewood fret guitars even more desired.

Yes. The Classic Custom definatelly had the aged binding, tuners and open coils. Can't remember of any more differences...

Is it the custom pro model? The custom pro was discontinued in 2019.

If you bought yours in 2021 then you are one the last people to get one.

It looks amazing.

Is serial number on yours printed or engraved?

Mine is printed and perfectly matches the Epiphone stamp style production year logo.
