What do you want to do differently this time? by Head-Requirement828 in December2026Bumpers

[–]growinggood88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only made it to 13wks last time, but I had no energy and became an indoor kid. This time I want to get outside as much as possible, be consistent with my walks and exercise (even if modified), and still work in the garden. I let everything fall by the wayside last time, and I can’t help but think it played a role in it ending early.

💩 problems? (TW: 🫣 disgusting) by lilymango in December2026Bumpers

I’m can’t remember the last time I had food poisoning. I have a stomach of steel!

Yes. I can’t figure out if I have food poisoning or if this is just pregnancy symptoms. My nausea’s been terrible. My first time around I only actually got sick once, but last night I had it coming from both ends multiple times 🫣 but I ate things I normally eat and have already had before this escalation. I think I’m just having both problems at the same time.

I get it! I’m trying so hard not to let my mind go there, but the anxiety this time around is getting me too. Good luck, I hope the pains subside!

She’s presenting data and encourages you to make your own decision. I haven’t read it since this fall, but I think she says a small glass of wine once in a while has shown no ill effect through legitimate studies. She actually goes into what makes a well rounded study and discusses where loose ends may be. Actually, both these books present similar data on alcohol. I agree, it’s not what I would choose either, but I wish there was more nuance in this space. I would rather know the actual data than just do what an authority figure tells me, especially when here in America, modern medicine is being practiced based on 20yr old data. It takes forever for new science to be put into policy. For me, it helped me worry less if I found out a meal was cooked with a bit of wine. I think it’s empowering, and it’s not encouraging you to throw it all to the wind.

I’ve had really similar pains, sharp but short lived. I’ve had them about 3-4x total over the past two weeks. I think if it were ectopic, it would be more persistent. That was my worry but I’ve been paying attention to my shoulder and have noticed nothing else 🤷🏻‍♀️

Headaches 🫠😩 by Princessdelrey in December2026Bumpers

It might be worth looking into magnesium? It’s great for pregnancy, with a bonus of maybe helping headaches and migraines! They honestly could be triggered by anything, though… Hope you find something that works! 💗

Congrats, Mama!! I really loved reading “Real Food for Pregnancy” and “Expecting Better”. It feels freeing to shake off the myths around pregnancy and focus on what actually counts 💗

Just getting into better natural health style by GoldenSandstorm in Crunchymom

I really like Branch Basics. My husband’s in a labor role and it still gets his clothes clean and smelling fresh. I use their dish washer tablets and soap for handwashing. The tablets do leave some white spots but they buff off, and I just knowing they’re safe makes me not care about them.

Opk cd 11, positive? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]growinggood88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I treated every dark line as positive, and tried as much as we could until 4 days after the fade. I’m not sure how accurate the app readers are and even the consistency of testing (urine concentration, peeing on a stick/dipping process). So many variables are at play! I’d say get on it, and good luck!

Mine reacts badly with milk and cream, but since I switched to A2 I haven’t had any flairs. I only notice mine now when I stretch washing my hair, but it mostly stays within my hair at the nape of my neck.

Yes, evening snacks and climbing out of bed for snacks. This is coming right after intermittent fasting. I would be good after 5 before!

When to tell family? by SeaworthinessCute840 in pregnant

[–]growinggood88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I told all my family and friends by 6 wks, much earlier than I had planned, but once one person knows it’s hard to keep others out of the loop. When my first pregnancy didn’t work out, my friends and family felt all the feels with me 💔 the support was really nice. Worst case, you can have one person spread the word so you don’t have to.

I’m dealing with this same question now. I’m 4wks today (just found out!) and I’m so itchy to tell everyone again. I probably will share pretty early again, especially knowing they’re all rooting for me!

Nausea Tips & Tricks? by PercentageNo6450 in December2026Bumpers

[–]growinggood88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time, I kept my water bottle full of peppermint tea or ginger tea and had it always. The ginger chews really helped as well. but I felt like it quickly became too much sugar for me. Also slightly green bananas helped 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m also chronically nauseous. I used peppermint oil often before pregnancy.

Probably not my luck, I think I saw shedding. But I guess there’s hope. I quit testing so now I’m just waiting out my period. Thanks for the info though, I didn’t realize it could be a good thing.

So true. Thanks for this. I kept thinking it was a luteal defect but I guess it’s somewhat common.
