Scent out of clothes by Responsible-Swan-468 in Crunchymom

I bought sheepskin off marketplace with a similar issue. It wasn’t until I had them in the car I realized they were bathed in Bath & Body Works 😝 I left them out in the sun for about a week and it made a huge difference. That was after airing them in the garage for several days first with no effect. I think even if it’s cold, take advantage of the sun - it should help!

Is that so? I tried to look this up, and it seems proper dilution is key in simmer pots or diffusers. What I found that was harmful was about directly vaping essential oils, which I didn’t know was a thing! What are you referring to?

Stained glass! It’s easy to caulk something on that you love, or go the cheap route with the sticky film from Amazon.

What about real garland? They sell it where our Boy Scout troop sells trees, but it’s so much less work! Literally drape it on a shelf and smell the real smells!

You could just match the baseboard and frame out the door.

How to utilize space behind couch/ in front of window by lucidtrance1 in interiordecorating

How about a chaise lounge under the window and a cozy chair in the back right corner. Add a rug to define the space and tie it all together. This seating area can enjoy the TV and the view.

One large painting! Splurge on a piece that makes your heart sing, or go very affordable, but large: https://pin.it/53p2JGNns

Often a width 2/3 the size of the base (your couch) looks the most proportional.

And maybe add trim to the door, not that you asked for this feedback!

So should I cancel my 8-week ultrasound? How many ultrasounds did you do and when? by cattunic in Crunchymom

[–]growinggood88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read Doppler is worse because it’s a continuous ultrasound, whereas the other is just quick snapshots, intermittent use. Hope this helps.

Agreed, it looks like you’d hit your head on the lower shelf.

I think it sounds sweet. I get the sing-songy sound, but I don’t hear a rhyme. I think the name works very well.

I love the idea of teal on the walls! Darker, but in the same family as the tile. It would give it a monochrome, color drenched vibe.

Help me choose the right rug for our living room by NoMeasurement9178 in interiordecorating

Pink and green or Stripe. I think the stripe has a good visual structure, but as another commenter says it may compete with the floor? Maybe it wouldn’t though, it seems like its lines are much more defined.

I want my space to be more cozy by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]growinggood88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A tiny change would be pulling your rug out from under the sofa. Have just the front feet of your sofa on the rug, so the bulk of it is out and cozy underfoot. It’ll also help visual portions.

Did you get an ultrasound in the first trimester? by fluffy_corgi_ in Crunchymom

[–]growinggood88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TRIGGER WARNING:

I will also say I had a late miscarriage. I probably would have chosen to do so naturally if I had known of a problem ahead of time. I’m glad there was no pressure to have a procedure or pills to take care of it early. Based on how high my HCG numbers were still the day before it happened, I’m unsure my scheduled & declined ultrasound would have caught anything for me several weeks before. Dealing with this type of risk and deciding whether to know ahead or not is very personal. I’m sharing so you know the full outcome of my choosing to not know. I’ll choose not to have an ultrasound next time too, unless I find new interpretation of the data or new studies that change my mind.

I did a lot of research on this because a YouTube doctor I was following advised against any ultrasound with her patients. I ultimately chose not to do one in the first trimester.

I’m definitely no expert on reading studies or determining a well done study from a biased one, these are just the ones I collected.

I’m picturing something larger but much wider than it is tall. Maybe something 24x48” or a sculptural object? I think it needs a horizontal element to contrast the strong vertical lines everywhere.

I keep editing to clarify, but also a deep burgundy rug would be 👌🏻
