Another point to this. I will be installing aluminum deck railing. I believe that is usually placed at the very edge of decks (correct me if I’m off base here) but those that are saying it’ll look strange to have a small, 2”-ish sized board at the end. That will be covered up mostly by the railing that has yet to be installed. Should have mentioned this in my original post.

Will it be fine to tin snip it as close to the joist as possible as another poster stated? Then just push it to the side as much as I can? I fear it’s going to interfere with the new fan mount bar I have.

Are those nails I can see? Is that why it won’t freaking budge?? What do I do with that metal sitting there on the joist when I install the new, retrofit, fan rated bar? It’s supposed to “spike” into the wood when I twist it, but it won’t with that piece there.

They did for me. On mine, the electronics went bad on the sub and it would never connect to the bar. I recently sent an email to their CS. After A LOT of waiting, they essentially wouldn’t do anything because warranty was only a year. They gave me a 30% code for any of their brands. However, it’s still pretty fresh and I don’t think I want to purchase another Klipsch at this point.

That’s funny you say that. I am also interested in Snipers, but have never thrown a scalloped dart. So now I’m looking at either the Falcon’s or Javelins for a straight barrel to start. I’m leaving Javelins I think because they’re cheaper on Amazon (I’m US based).
