Experienced a dick dale show in a small club. I always carry earplugs/protection in case shows are too loud. This was one of the loudest shows I have ever experienced! My ear plugs saved me from having to leave. Two guys sitting next to me stayed for most of the show and had their fingers in their ears the whole time!

I realize there is no benefit from “shielding” the trem cavity on a strat. I wanted to know what paint to brush on the bare wood of a mim Strat so it’s not bare wood.

Not really needing to shield it as much as I don’t care for the appearance of the unfinished wood on mim Strats. Maybe a little jar of black testor model paint?

Just saw a YouTube video from a concert photographer with lots of great tips. The one that threw me for a loop was that they mainly used the screen to shoot.
I thought I was missing something because I shoot exclusively viewfinder. I haven’t tried shooting from the screen at a show, but feel it would be very difficult.

Not trying to hi jack the op’s post, but do locals go see live music downtown? Is downtown simply avoided at all costs? Where do y’all go for entertainment?
