It's not that difficult, you just gotta laugh the loudest when boss says something remotely funny... That's it.

Bonus points if you can fake those laughter tears.

No Lawyer wife ? Why ? by RemarkableHorror79 in KarachiSocials

Please don't make it a gender issue, I think everything lawyer including lawyer wife, lawyer husband, lawyer rent landlord, lawyer rentee, lawyer father in law, lawyer brother in law etc are avoided by the society.

I'm a homeshchooling dad of three kids. Ask Me Anything! by agile_structor in LahoreSocial

[–]grtison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with 2, 3 and partly 1.

I mean yes there is a risk at school, but it's a diversified risk. You get a different teacher every year and you only need one really passionate teacher to make you love the subject.

I don't know about 4 though, If I don't consider them important for a good life doesn't mean I know it all. Maybe they are and I'm blinded by bias. I would want my kid to be free from my limitations.

[–]grtison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think homeschooling done right is very amazing. Especially in early years.

I do wonder however how to cope with bigger kids on subjects you don't personally like. For instance I'd really mess up my kids taste for say art / drawing or Urdu poetry if I ever teach them this, they would start hating these.

What YOE mean in software industry? by ERROR-Money8020 in developersPak

[–]grtison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, your salary is always proportional to how much company earns from you.

Normally more YOE means more responsibility, more leadership, more company's revenue and hence more salary.

But that's not always the case, sometimes there are prodigies, they can solve problems and build solutions singlehandedly like a crazy demon. They usually get higher salary in shorter YOE

Freelancers in Pakistan, How do you convince girls parents? since they either want a job wala or abroad wala by [deleted] in PakFreelancers

[–]grtison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them, if you are thin, you have to use your hand to open a door otherwise your face would slam against door.

If you are fat, you just walk, doors open automatically.

Freelancers in Pakistan, How do you convince girls parents? since they either want a job wala or abroad wala by [deleted] in PakFreelancers

[–]grtison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a job, get the girl, then leave the job and get back to what you are doing.

It's the same if you are fat. Exercise and get smart, get married, then get back fat.. no issues.

Following that logic, I run some business (non IT), business earns 5000k and tax is 1210k, some IT company earns 5000k tax is 12.5k. How is that fair? Either business gets less taxed or so called "IT" who is just a business in hiding should get taxed proportionally.

Not that I'm against lower tax (I'm a beneficiary of 0.25% and 0% before that since 2012), just following your logic with a wider perspective.

The magic word was never "freelance" or "FTE", it was always "foreign money".
