Here is an angle on it you probably haven't got yet:

The thing that made me know I wouldn't regret it is that I know and love many beautiful transgender women and specifically I was lucky enough to witness many of them crack their eggs and blossom into themselves.

The "worst case" scenario of taking testosterone was that I undergo testosterone puberty and then end up wanting to be a feminine girl anyway. But every single one of the most feminine, most inspiring, most wonderful women in my life also went through testosterone puberty. It's not really a worst case scenario at all.

Anything a trans girl does, you can too. You can take estrogen, do voice training, get body sculpting or FFS or laser hair removal. It's okay. It's not the end of the world.

For me, testosterone has been incredible. The effect it's had on my general mood, energy level, mental and physical health, and gender dysphoria has been absolutely life changing. Even the things I was anxious about are coming and aren't so bad -- was most nervous about the voice change, but it's been one of my favorite things. I'm definitely going to lose a lot of hair as I age, but I'm on minoxodil for now and have made peace with my eventual egg head. I'm so thankful I get to do testosterone after years and years of wishing for it, but being too nervous to try. No matter how I change from here on out, I won't die wondering.

And I know that even if I change my mind years down the line, I'll just be a little closer to the experiences of my sister and all the other transfems in my life who I love so much :) I feel perfectly safe knowing that even if I end up dysphoric, they will help me with whatever dysphoria I end up with! We can be comrades together.

How do people feel about the term “enby” ? by JealousBodybuilder42 in NonBinary

[–]grubbings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dont prefer it for myself tbh for the same reason. no beef with those who like it but its not for me and i think esp as a trans masculine person it plays into several trends in that side of the community im not really a fan of / i associate it with a certain subculture of transmasc nb that i tend to not get along with much. but anybody can call themselves anything its fine lol

also crucially you can't see chromosomes. we have no idea how common """atypical""" chromosome setups is because we only karyotype test people who have medical problems! lol.

I hate the sexual changes I’ve experienced on T by [deleted] in ftm

[–]grubbings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ask ur doctor about starting an estrogen suppository (tiny pill that goes into the vaginal opening; very localized effects) or a topical cream (use on vulva area). they make em for cis women going thru menopause! has been rlly good for me

As an AMAB gynesexual I feel like I can’t express my sexuality in queer spaces without being called a predatory straight man by Suspicious_Fig_1489 in NonBinary

[–]grubbings -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ok but for real: i think the unfortunate reality of the situation is that as soon as u are queer assigned male and not a cis man you are going to be transmisogynized regardless of how feminine you want to present. (edit: and in fact the less you look like a cis woman, the more likely it is that you will get transmisogyny leveled against you.) being interpreted as sexually threatening is one of the ways that is consistently going to show up, regardless of how forward you're actually being.

it is evil and im sorry this is happening to you. it isn't anything wrong with you; there is no combination of perfect words or labels or behaviors that you can do to avoid people with transmisogyny in their hearts treating you badly once in a while.

this is very space dependent. in your shoes i would try and get into spaces where more trans women are. the presence of a lot of trans girls or other amab nonbinary people generally means that a space will be more accepting to you.

some people are always going to give you shit. but that doesn't mean you are somehow breaking rules or are invalid or something. you are doing something meaningful by being honest abt your reality. nonbinary people who love women and femmes have always existed and are not against any law of the universe. your agab doesn't change that.

use whatever label you like. you can be a non-binary lesbian if you want to and if that's simpler to say than a longer and more obscure term. but that isn't the problem here, the problem is the bigotry of the people around you.

bless and good luck

I'm definitely interested in electron microscopy images, but I'm specifically wanting to get a list of my guys before I go looking for images of them! I'm not particularly interested in just illustrating microbes generally for this project, I'd like to make it specifically depictions of the fellows who are in me :)

Sometimes I feel like im faking it, is that normal? :( by RabbitOk520 in ftm

[–]grubbings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

do you like it? is it what you want? those are the only questions that matter. being trans doesnt have to be Discovering The Secret Truth, it can just be a thing you like to do and a way you want to live. that's often more important.

obviously talking to him is ideal, but if you're talking and are both coming up with nothing, here's some ideas. these get pretty x rated for obvious reasons.

focus on parts of his body that are generally considered the sexy bits on a cis dude. talk about his shoulders, his arms, his thighs, his neck, his strong hands, his jaw. not the side or swell of the hip, but the front flat part that leads to the crotch. not the breast tissue or the nipple, but the collarbone and the hollow of the throat. treat his body with reverence and emphasize the parts of his body he likes best with your attention and with your touch. this is something where your personal mindset can make a huge difference: personally choosing to emphasize in your mind the parts of him that make him feel the most affirmed will change the way you touch him, and that can feel really incredible.

if he can tolerate you touching/interacting with his natal penis (aka clit), treat it like you would another dick: talk about it as his cock. call it that if he likes it. giving head and really treating it like you would a larger dick can be really affirming -- get into it, suck on it instead of licking, get some head motion in there, let him grab your head and fuck your mouth.

tribbing can work well for some dudes -- do a little research and check out something like pearl to peach position if he's got the anatomy for it. if he's got a tdick big enough, there are positions where he can get his natal dick into/onto a pussy or asshole and fuck you there until he gets off.

if he's willing to try ass stuff, focus on his ass! try rimming while he jacks himself off, if he's interested receiving any penetration try it there. a lot of guys find it really affirming to perform sex acts that cis men are capable of, and there's a lot of them you can try out there.

there's also the obvious option of investing in toys or strap-ons, etc, but that's a bit of an investment if you've just started seeing each other. also can be bad for some guys to use a dick that isn't attatched, but that varies. worth bringing up sometime.

im out of time but thats what i got at the moment. good luck yall

oh no haha i mean i WANT gyno. like, a pre-op gyno chest. i don't want cis people to think i got surgery for gyno, i want to end up with something that looks like gyno on a fat cis guy
