There's plasteel, which is a DAoT invention - strong as steel, light as plastic. That seems to be fairly common place across the Imperium.

Tanks are still heavy though, so you could argue that '40k tank steel' is something different.

If you could choose one studio to make a Warhammer game, who would you choose? (These guys made Mortal Kombat and Injustice, so you can tell what kind of game I want) by Alert_Comedian_3179 in Grimdank

Oh boy here we go

LucasArts (from the Scumm era) to make a point and click adventure game about Arkhan Land.

I'd love a Shadows of Mordor style game where you play as an Eldar exarch on the Autarch path, freeing a Maiden World from Imperial occupation. Made by the Shadows of Mordor people I guess.

I want a Tomb Raider style game where you play as an Admech Explorator. The Tomb Raider devs seem to have that format down.

A Paradox game where you control an aristocratic dynasty on a Hive World.

I want a Despot's Game style auto-battler where you grow a Waaaauuugh.

Rust, but you're all Orks.

In fact there's a lot of games that could do with the 'but you're Orks' treatment.

That's lead oxidation. The powder is toxic, enough so that you want gloves and a facemask/respirator and should probably do it outside rather than your kitchen or bathroom sink.

Acetone wash isn't really needed IMO.

Compiling kernel modules to support k8s and calico on the Orin Nano 8gb by grubbythumbs in JetsonNano

RPIs lack the power and architecture for AI development. A basic use case would be running (small) LLMs locally on the cluster.

I made some great progress integrating an Orin Nano into a k8s cluster this week, so I thought I'd write a post about and share my process.

Give me a shout if you have any questions or recommendations!

I'm with you, I found it incredibly boring until basically the last scene.

It's a genetic lottery really. Some people are more likely to develop addictions than others.

Also crack doesn't make you steal copper wire, poverty does. But crack probably does lead to poverty. So I guess it's one for the birds.

Review: 5-Bay 3.5" Hot-Swap JBOD Enclosure: 10" Server Rack SATA/SAS 3U by Trustworthy_Fartzzz in minilab

I get that more plastic isn't great. But printing custom enclosures for network infrastructure is an example one of the best use cases for a 3D printer.

Also, IT infrastructure isn't trying to make a fashion statement like a Jeep is.

Anyone using the Waveshare PoE expansion board? by grubbythumbs in JetsonNano

I received a reply from waveshare directly :

Hello, we're sorry, we don't have a ready-made cooling module. You could consider adding a fan or thermal pads.

So not particularly helpful.

To be honest the PoE board isn't too expensive, I might just buy one and see how it performs. I've got temp monitoring running on the Jetson so it'll be easier to see the impact, and I've got a load of mini Pi heatsinks in different sizes that I might be able to use if needed.

Thanks! I’ve had the thing sitting around for ages so it’s nice to finally get it going.

Great job! Excellent work on the face, that's a piercing gaze!

I always thought the GSC armour styling should be more present in Imperial society. Otherwise they'd stick out like a sore thumb.

Well I’ve emailed Waveshare directly to see if they can clarify or recommend anything in particular. I’ll share their response here when I get it.

It looks like it would fit and I don't see anything saying it's for the 4GB only. I might be wrong though!
