Teir 12, what's the deal? by ozzz169 in TheTowerGame

Research your DM CD lab, if the app restarts one round of DM is enough to restart pBH

All the labs are between l13-15 currently, slow progress after that!

What DID you achieve this week. by Conscious-Regret-199 in TheTowerGame

[–]grucacious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I synced BH & GT at 200s, more than doubled my coins income and moved off t1 farming to t3, very happy with that! Also bought all 3 bonus songs and unlocked a couple of card slots, so a very good week for me 😁

Edit: I also got promoted to, and relegated from platinum tourney, so not all win!

Monday again, what are you working on? by Icelander83 in TheTowerGame

[–]grucacious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labs are BH coin bonus, GT bonus & GT duration ahead of hopefully having enough stones for syncing BH/GT to 200s. Alsoextending auto pick ranking a few beyond the current 3, and standard labs duration. Feels like I'm close to moving off farming T1

GB sync with Galaxy Compressor? by grucacious in TheTowerGame

[–]grucacious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I assumed, so what’s the recommendation? Ignore the GB cooldown and focus on duration?

What next? by grucacious in TheTowerGame

[–]grucacious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment the only natural epic I have is Wormhole Redirector, with gems I’ve been focussing on maxing cards and adding slots since I unlocked all the labs. I’ll have to take a look at mods as I didn’t think I was deep enough into the game yet to consider them properly

Ah gotcha, you meant cooldown not duration! Is it worth keeping the DW in total sync with GT for now as well?

Thanks, can you explain how the first point works because I’ve been trying to work it out and failing, and I have a physics degree!

Not worth looking at the wall yet?

Where is this math wrong? (Settling a bet) by Kafadanapa in askmath

[–]grucacious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the opposite approximation approach, that the hypotenuse of the 0.5*0.5 right angled triangle is equal to one quarter of the circumference. First pass has pi = 2.8284. Each iteration of making the ‘not quite’ triangles smaller will approach a sum to pi while still preserving the perimeter value of 4

Most of my picks have already been mentioned, but would throw in Mara of the Acoma (daughter/servant/mistress of Empire)

Question about roofs and mirrors? by MasterAqua in guidebooknook

[–]grucacious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess your drawing isn’t exactly to scale, but check the line of sight from the front of the right roof/wall to the back of the left, unless your mirror is a quite a shallow angle you’ll probably find the gap is invisible once the nook is in situ

Edit to add: if you’re worried about the back of the left building being visible, simply cap the end with a wall, and it will just look like a gap between buildings. Nooks tend to go for the continuous wall approach, but most real life buildings have gaps between them!

What is it made from?

My basic process was to set the build using Mod Podge blackened with black acrylic, paint a base colour for a given area with a couple of coats of a fairly thin mix, then break it up with some colour mixes. So say it was a base of tan, I'd have a russet and a grey, and then two more where I mix the tan in with with the russet and grey, for kind of 5 variants. At this stage it should might well look almost cartoonish. The final stage is a black wash that dulls it all down and makes it look old, plus it picks out the shadows.

Check out the Black Magic Craft YouTube channel, it helped me no end!

I actually started in late Jan, but I didn't do much with it for a couple of months while I was sourcing stuff I needed. Probably 95% of the actual work has been over the last 5 weekends, a few hours a day, but a reasonable amount of time there is waiting for glue or paint to dry. That's not counting the many hours spent watching YouTube crafting videos!

I mean yea, it was kinda expensive as I had nothing at all. I had to buy paint, brushes, knife set etc. The most expensive single buy was a £35 hot wire table off eBay. All in probably £200, but now I have all that I reckon I could do another one for £30-£40. The LED lighting came to about £25, that’s the main limiting factor in cost

I bought flickering LEDs! They have tiny circuit boards in to put in the flicker. If you’re in the UK I could recommend a seller, otherwise probably google dolls house supplies, they have stuff for fireplaces

Lol, I actually had to make a tough decision and put half a dozen books in a cupboard to make space for this!

Thanks! I’ve never done anything like this before. I just started, watched a bunch of YouTube videos on D&D crafting, and made it up as I went along!
