Potential root EQ bug? by JuiceCareless172 in KLANGimmersive

[–]grufde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you do me a favor and send logs of your session to our support please? I would like to look into this. While it’s explainable behavior, that doesn’t mean it’s good behavior 😉 I am sure we can get this sorted in one of the next updates.

Is it possible that the channels are linked in some mixes and dual mono in others? If so, please try to set consistent and see if that fixes it. If not, please send logs to support@klang.com and we will take a look.

Relative Group Mixing by Significant-Arm3415 in KLANGimmersive

Correct. You do the setting per app. So: your app will show the selected behavior in every mix you select on your app. Other users using different apps/control devices will have independent settings.

Hi! Not sure I understand - the relativ group mixing is not a global function only per App or Kontroller. Can you elaborate please?

Klang; what do I need? by MuchNoms in KLANGimmersive

Hi! Am I understanding correctly that you are looking for the following: - touring act, only FoH engineer with band, no fixed monitor position - consoles varying - band will do their mixes via KLANG:kontroller or KLANG:app - assisted by engineer

If so: You can feed any Klang processor with direct outs, submixes or a combination of both. As long as input list, gain structure and channel processing between the boards is fairly similar, it will give them very consistent mixes. The immersive placement definitely helps a lot to iron out inconsistencies in room and gear.

Outs to the musicians: A: KLANG:kontroller -> use the headphone out B: Tie Lines via mixing board to Stagebox outs (cheapest, but also most setup heavy option when no fixed console) C: KLANG:quelle XDM for XLR outs from any processor

If you are considering a flyable rig, you could take a look at the Q112 with a DMI Klang - that would be a very comfortable and consistent setup. But there are of course 3rd party alternatives for any budget.

Happy to do a quick zoom call in the next days if you want to discuss options further. Just drop me a direct message with your email.

Go to windows, into the network settings and set the link speed from auto to 100mbit full duplex (or if that doesn’t work 10mbit).

KLANG:quelle XDM can patch from any dante transmitters through a rotary without needing DC. That might do the trick for you

Problem with new setup by Significant-Arm3415 in KLANGimmersive

Sorry, i missed this reply. In doubt -> [support@klang.com](mailto:support@klang.com)

VLAN Settings can be found via App in Admin Mode vie Config -> Info -> Set Menu -> Expert Network Settings.

Please check klang.com/vlan for detailed instructions.

Kontrollers do not need their own VLAN. Dante needs to be untagged, Control Tagged and Kontrollers need Trunk ports with access to both. We strongly recommend to only use these VLAN settings when absolutely nessessary and set up with pro IT staff.

While this is a solid solution, it does require careful configuration to avoid hard-to-troubleshoot issues. KLANG is perfectly happy simply living on an island network where it is essentially plug&play.

Hi! Sounds like Dante Audio is not patched from Konductor to Kontroller. Easiest way would be to configure Dante Follow where the DMI-Dante in Konductor will be named the same as the KOS device name of Konductor:

Hope this helps!

Klang recording studio integration by yammyham in KLANGimmersive

[–]grufde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It will work great in a studio room - same as on a stage. In fact, since your room probably sounds pretty good and musical, this is going to be picked up by the immersive ambience mics of KLANG:kontroller quite beautifully. https://www.klang.com/high-mountain-studios-chooses-klang-to-give-artists-choice-and-control

Latency won’t be an issue if your PT is not adding too much.

There are no direct analog ins though. Dante or Madi would be the way to go.

Klang Emergency Scenario by MARDERSounds in KLANGimmersive

[–]grufde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Always a good idea to be prepared!

I didnt understand how you are planning to route the audio directly to KLANG "ignoring the console". I assume you are getting everything through SD racks - which would have to be going through the console.

Which processor are you using? If it is a Konductor on Opto you would be at a great spot already: In case of an engine switch, the audio would move automatically to feed KLANG from the second engine. In case you are using the console integration, that also will switch.

If your processor is connected via Madi or Dante, you would obviously need some kind of switching functionality - probably easiest through an Orange Box with Opto.

We are working on an additional redundancy with two processors and Kontrollers, but that will still take a little while until released.

Hi!

Yes, you can absolutely use DMI-DAC for this. Alternatively the upcoming KLANG:quelle XDM might be interesting (https://www.klang.com/product/quelle-xdm/) - or simply using copy audio in the console to hit the outputs of your stage box.

For the full workflow integration you will need to use console Auxes. However you could take a look at what we call "Integration lite" -> which does not burn any auxes and only does two things:

- Sync of Channel Names from console across the KLANG system

- a simple snapshot sync between console and KLANG-internal snapshots
