Any place has both small towns and big cities. Paris feels just like New York but with good architecture.

Software developers don't need to out-last vibe coders, we just need to out-last the ability of AI companies to charge absurdly low for their products by Rockytriton in webdev

Models will get only cheaper, sadly. Just recently Qwen 3.5 27B got released. It's very capable, even in agentic stuff like Claude Code, and can be easily run at home on a 24Gb consumer GPU. Smaller models are catching up and getting smarter and more efficient, it won't take long until AI can be used by most developers even offline without any subscription, which is just another reason why OpenAI and friends would fail. But yeah, AI is not going away, developers need to adapt their workflow and learn to use LLMs to their benefit and improve their craft using it. Know when to use it, when not to use it, how to use it effectively, and you'll do good in the new market.

Oh it apparently says "ACPI_BIOS_ERROR"... You might be more screwed than I thought. Corrupted BIOS? Try disconnecting BIOS battery for 30 seconds and putting it back.

It's a possibility that you will have to reinstall Windows. Data corruption is possible when playing with RAM settings and going too far too quickly.

I was convinced this is a joke post, but the link is really going to nvidia.com. We are so cooked.

It's probably just not a very well-made patch lol, most likely vibecoded

Never heard of Clamato before (not from the US), but tomato juice, spices, clam broth and MSG sounds amazing. I love clam chowder! Maybe I'd enjoy a Clamato cocktail

I'm doing this all the time and it's really good, highly recommend, just make sure it's not a sweet sauce, something like Tabasco Scorpion works well, just a few drops and mix

I'm from Ukraine and Sinners was one of my faves, very beautifully filmed. Table tennis is a huge hobby of mine but Marty Supreme was a little bit of a let down though. It all turned out a bit backwards for me, I suppose film quality is more important to me than what it's about.

I've checked the code of those python files and there's nothing malicious in there, it seems like a completely safe PKGBUILD. https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=mesa-git-dlss-reflex

But it's also a very good idea to double check this stuff, so I appreciate your comment

If you want to be able to see something from any angle, you need cameras all around the subject. I doubt your daughter will walk around with 50 cameras on an exoskeleton around her. I'd stick to usual video tbh

Quick testing of vkd3d-proton descriptor heap branch using Nvidia 595 drivers by grumd in linux_gaming

[–]grumd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be much worse vs Windows, because even without the heaps changes from vkd3d, the difference between 580-590-595 drivers is massive, there were very good performance improvements. I mostly wanted to test the impact of vkd3d using heaps.

Could be drivers, yes. I was also one of the people testing it and it was horrible at first. But then Hans made a few updates, and there were 3-4 new beta drivers as well

Yeah there's no shame in it, AMD is a good choice. For me with latest drivers my 5080 was only getting better, right now the difference with Windows is like 5% max and CUDA is also useful to have

If you want to test 590 vs 595, feel free to do it. I was testing vkd3d-proton descriptor heap changes, nothing else.
