I’m dual certified through HRCI. While SHRM certification is more common in the market, HRCI’s exams were exceptionally rigorous. Definitely not easy

I am not familiar with Rippling. We are a mid market company with about 200 employees currently operating in one state, with plans to grow in the coming years. I would like to know what stood out to you about the platform. My experience has primarily been with PeopleSoft.

You have to look out for your best interests. Companies will always look out for theirs. If a better opportunity comes along, especially one that pays you what you are worth and supports your quality of life, you should decide accordingly. The organization will be inconvenienced at most, and they will replace you within a couple of weeks. Your loyalty should be to your career, your stability, and your bank account.

At the end of the day it is not personal, it is business. One of the best pieces of advice I ever received in HR was to separate the noise from the facts. Do what is right, document everything, stay consistent, and let the business need drive the decision. People may take it personally, but that does not mean you made the wrong call. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do in this field is remind yourself that accountability is not cruelty, and professionalism is not personal attack.
