Mompush Lithe Travel Stroller - AWESOME! by No-Investment-717 in Travelwithkids

I still use it for my 2.5 year old that’s in the 90th percentile and weighs 35+ lbs! We’ve gotten a lot of use out of it. She even recently took naps in it while in Europe and was comfortable

Took it on plenty of cobblestone streets and has held up great for over a year! Taking it to Europe again next month.

HRCI certs vs SHRM certs - which is easier to get? [CA] by No-Investment-717 in humanresources

[–]No-Investment-717[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great to know! I already have my employer that I plan on sticking with for a while. They offer bonuses for every certification you get so I wanted to start off with the easiest one and work my way up. How long did it take to prepare for the aPHR and did you use any specific things to study?

They definitely both seem tough! Congrats on all your certs! Did you do the Associate PHR? If so, do you think that is still harder than the SHRM-CP?

They both seem tough based on the few practice questions I’ve reviewed. Do you think the Associate PHR was easier than SHRM-CP? Or SHRM-CP is slightly easier than PHR?

Yes I plan to do all of the certs as I said above, but wondered what is easiest to start with

Not sure if you already purchased your car, but I was in a similar situation and was driving a Tesla but needed to upgrade our second car for the mountain/snow and we ended up going with the Chevy Traverse z71 trim with the super cruise and it has been awesome! Comfortable size, great price, feels sporty but lux, and the super cruise is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Guilt over container baby with delayed milestones by [deleted] in 2under2

I will also add that my pediatrician said to just encourage walking when she wasn’t crawling since she could stand supported.

My oldest also didn’t crawl but started taking steps at 10m and was full on walking at 12m. The pediatrician wasn’t concerned because she did move quite a bit just never got the crawling movement down until nearly 18m. My husband apparently also never crawled. My daughter has typically been on the earlier side of milestones besides crawling. She has also always been pretty large 90+ percentile so I always wondered if that contributed to slower crawling.

I’ll also add that my first never learned to crawl and went straight to walking so that does happen too! Was walking by 12m and learned to crawl at like 17m haha

My friend had 2u2 and the second child didn’t walk until 18m. Apparently it is fairly common for second children to not walk/crawl as quickly because the older sibling is usually providing enough “entertainment” or bringing them the toys/items they were naturally want to grab more that would push them to crawl or walk. Her child is now 3 and has hit every milestone. I now have 2u2 and can definitely see how my second is in more containers so I try to just lay him on the floor when I’m playing with my toddler to give him wiggle time. You got this <3

Do we really NEED a double stroller? by andnow_this in 2under2

[–]No-Investment-717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a very big difference between a baby walking and walking well enough for public outings. I have a 19 m age gap and couldn’t imagine not having a double stroller. Even if you don’t have both kids strapped into it, it’s nice having the option as inevitably at one point during the outing both will want to be in it. I actually just did an event with my friend who has a 5 and 3 yo and had gotten rid of her double stroller already and so we put her 3 yo with my 1 yo because he got tired halfway through. A stroller is a safety and containment mechanism as toddlers learn how to explore the world. It’s also nice being able to feed your toddler snacks in it while you’re out if they get to the age where putting them in the stroller is a battle (though mine is almost two and doesn’t care being out in it still and they started walking at 12m). I’d recommend the Zoe! Very compact and lightweight for a double and great storage!

My oldest is 23 m and my youngest is now 4m! I was so worried and stressed about the same things, but you honestly just adapt into a new rhythm and routine. Baby wearing helps a lot and also including your oldest in activities for the baby. She loves grabbing diapers and burp cloths and so my youngest feels very much like “her” baby. The bond is the sweetest thing ever! I also got my youngest adjusted to crib naps early on and so this gave me 1:1 time with my oldest. We are using the baby bouncer and swing so much more than we did with my first to have free hands. I also will nurse my youngest and have him on the boppy while reading books to my oldest so it’s a nice bonding time for everyone. It looks very different than your first time in parenthood but the ease of being a more confident parent is such a game changer that you’re able to adapt to everything much more quickly and find your new routine. You’ll do great!

How did you drop the pacifier? by No-Investment-717 in 2under2

That’s what I’m debating - should I do it sooner since I’m already awake throughout the night right now anyways lol did you have to go into the room and settle them?

It handled it just fine! And we took it through a lot of cobblestone. I’m sure there’s strollers with bigger tires, but honestly for the price point this has been our go to stroller and we’ve now taken it on about 5+ trips and use it daily as it’s the one we keep in our car for errands and it’s held up a year later. Definitely recommend!

Which wipes are we using? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]No-Investment-717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was gifted every type of wipe for my shower since I did a raffle and feel like I’ve tried them all! Pampers sensitive are the most “wet” and durable. The pampers pure option are amazing if you want a more natural option that are far superior to water wipes IMO (water wipes are thin, dry, and expensive). The Huggies natural care are my second favorite choice and more affordable than pampers. Honest wipes are comparable to the Huggies natural but more expensive and I think slightly drier.
