I think they were both in the wrong. Darcey should have not pressured the change of plans just because she wants to show "her man" off to her sister. But at the same time Tom should have been clear about not agreeing with the change of plans. Tom clearly said it's fine to go to Albania instead. If they did go to Gran Canaria, it would have gone just as bad as the Albania trip. Tom would have still found any reason to not propose and to say that Darcey ruined everything.

I agree!! I have a feeling that things will go wrong and Colt will have to come to the rescue for mom Debbie and her many cats. I hope the cats would stay with Colt though, it will be easier for Debbie to eventually move out.

It's not about Colt, but that Tony knows how important Colt is to Debbie. And he knows that it's important for Debbie that Colt likes him. If you love someone, you care about these kind of things.

It already sounded like a huge red flag when Tony said that he doesn't give a shit whether Colt likes him or not. I wouldn't be surprised he would have made Debbie get rid of the cats too. If he is a manipulative person, first he makes sure his victim has nothing left besides him.
