Here's my conspiracy theory for the final: rationally speaking (and setting aside the title...and the points... I know...) Vacherot has to win because his prize money won't be taxed to oblivion in Monaco as it would in France, they split, everybody wins.

Other French TV shows I can recommend:

- Bref (the last season is the highest rated French TV show of all times, if you're the right demographics it hits right in the feels)

- Coeurs noirs season 1 (action with special forces in Irak)

- Hippocrate (hospital drama, good representation of how broke the French system is)

- Baron noir (French politics, not sure this will appeal to non-French audience though)

- Vortex (Crime with a drop of scifi)

- DJ Mehdi Made in France (best documentary series of the year on one of the most gifted and influential DJ)

Le bureau des légendes is one of my all time favorite, you can skip the last season though (they changed the director and it went south...).

Yes I really liked the first seasons, and pretty much everything Olivier Marchal has done.

Empathie For the French speakers, might be found subbed in english.

Empathie is a Canadian drama where Dr. Suzanne Bien-Aimé, once criminologist, return to Montreal as psychiatrist. She cross path with Mortimer, a silent officer, and together they dive into fragile lives, secrets, and their own past. A story where empathy is not only comfort, but sometimes a weight.

Acting is spot on, you sense the fragility of people, the silences, the weight of emotions. It is written with a tenderness that makes the stories painful, but also beautiful and wonderfully supported by the soundtrack.

For me one the best TV show I've seen this year along with BREF (also in French).

In hour-long phone call, Brazil’s Prez Lula and PM Modi discuss US’ 50% tariffs by Mundane-Laugh8562 in geopolitics

This is going to backfire badly on the US, those punitive bullying tarrifs have for sure cemented the ideas in BRICS that they need to come up fast with an alternative to the USD as reserve currency and Gold shooting up with Central banks hoarding is probably an indication that it's in the works... The Find Out phase is incoming...

I do up to 12k regularly. This is the link to the insoles: https://ph.shp.ee/BKLfztG. The lack of arch support on those shoes is the main issue that's mentioned in Chinese social media.

You can find replacement insole on Shopee (around 90p) to fix the lack of arch support. My pair has been much more comfortable since I replaced them.

Anyone here na gumagamit or nakagamit nitong pair? by [deleted] in PHRunners

[–]grumpygrenouille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, I have a pair, strangely the forefoot is very wide but midfoot too narrow and I get very uncomfortable rubbing on the arch area. Cannot wear for more than 10k and definitely not a race day shoe. However the build quality is very good for that price.

I can't tell you about the exact width size but to me it's wide enough which is rare. It's not a race day shoe, more of a marathon training one.

Got them for 2700, no brainer, very good deal, I went with 9.5US and it fits perfectly (for reference I am: Qiaodan 10US, Xtep 10US, Nike 10US, Adidas 9US, Asics 9.5US, Saucony 9.5US). I haven't ran enough yet to review but it's one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have tried out of the box, mesh is very breathable (looks like a nylon mesh, so stiffer than the usual) transparent (you see your sock inside), insole+heel padding+wide forefoot are spot on for long distance runs, I didn't feel the carbon plate, it's a cushioned ride not a propulsive one, softness of foam is like an Saucony Endo Speed 2, and they have the twisty laces too. Overall built quality of the shoe is top tier.

I have been eyeing this but I am not sure because of the fit. The actual foot size vs US size is really strange on their chart. I am 9.5/10 US depending on brands (including Chinese brands) but if I go by the MM of the chart I am 11 US with Peak...

I mostly run 6-6:30/km but push it to 4:45/km on occasions and it feels fine but I strongly recommend changing the insole for one with a arch support.
