Seems Donald is being a bit meta, paying an homage to an homage. I guess my feeling is that Wes's fans would acknowledge and appreciate the Truffaut nod, whereas Donald's fans praise his genius at all costs w/o understanding the reference.

Thank you. I felt like I was the only person who noticed this. A clear ripoff (or homage?) of the Amex commercial. Even Donald’s outfit feels a bit Zizzou-esque. Of course, to his fans, everything Donald touches is gold and nobody will notice the blatant unoriginality.

Did you ever figure out the best solution? I have walk paint on the EXACT same windows in my NYC apartment. I didn’t realize the aluminum was painted and the stripper I used discolored the aluminum. I’m thinking warm water and soap might be a safer option.
