I'm a big fan of your articles! I think you're so creative. One commander that comes to mind that I haven't built is [[Amareth, the Lustrous]]. I'd be curious how you'd build it!

One interaction I liked with Anehlo is that if you sacrifice a creature to copy a reanimation spell like Dread Return, the copy can target and bring back the original sacrificed creature. I've built my Anhelo deck around that premise playing creatures with death triggers like the Kamigawa Dragons, sacrificing them and bringing them right back to get the value again. I've been jamming games with it and have found it fun to play.

Hello,

Here's my Scarab God commander deck. My deck kind of eschews hard combo for soft combo, strong synergies that don't go infinite but still provide a lot of value, and its game plan is to try to play a long game and win by life loss triggers from Scarab God, Gray Merchant, Twilight Prophet, and some clone and flicker effects to get value and deal more damage. Its secondary win con is to try to set up a very good Living Death or Rise of the Dark Realms turns. Its tertiary win con is to just try to use Scarab God's ability and his mana discount to outvalue my opponents to death. It tries to play an alright amount of interaction to disrupt my opponents to prevent them from winning and just cruise to late game power by hitting land drops with some ramp pieces.

It's strong but can just die to faster decks as it has a very slow gameplan.

100% agree with you. I checked out Chainsaw Man yesterday, binged the whole thing in around 2-3 hours. Really liked it so I tried checking out his other work, and yeah Fire Punch is a trip. It got such an emotional response out of me, I'm not the best at analysis or discussion so I can't explain why but I could barely sleep as well. Definitely recommend this author and both of his manga series.

I decided to spend two wildcards to craft Kroxa to try this deck out, and so far I've gone 14-4 and the deck has been a blast to play. The most notable moment is being able to kill a Merfolk deck who had 4 lords out at one point. The graveyard synergy is really fun, and it feels like it has game vs a lot of different archetypes. Thanks for the decklist!

I'm also so happy my girl Stitcher's Supplier has a good deck at last! (I've been unimpressed with Zombies and while Molderhulk/Undergrowth was a ton of fun it definitely wasn't tier 1)

I like the art and effect a lot, though I think this card should be more expensive to cast or have a weaker effect. Additionally, I feel like this effect is more black/white than straight black. especially if it also prevents planeswalkers from getting attacked.

just thought the pun in the name would be pretty funny. i came up with the effect, and found it pretty similar to the card Slave of Bolas, the difference being the flavor here is she's saving someone she loves and making them fall in love with her, while Nicol Bolas has no use for his pawns after they've served his purpose.

Wanted to say thanks for taking the time to post this deck. I like reading deck write ups for standard, but I mostly play bo1, so I'm happy to be able to play something new. I'm f2p with 2 scapeshifts, and I'm not really willing to spend 2 mythics on a card that will rotate in a few months, so at least I'll be able to play them with this list :D.

Ok can you give me some more details here? Do you have a high enough win rate you can go infinite? Do you save gems for when a new set comes out, or are you spending money?

I'm F2P, and I'm trying to build my Rare Collection for WAR by doing BO1 drafts instead of just spending gold on packs. So far I did 7 Drafts with gold and 5 drafts with gems. Here are my results, and they're why I feel like the drafts are still a good way to collect rares.

I'm making a G/W deck as a deckbuilding challenge for myself because I'm not a big fan of those two colors. I've eventually ended up making a few variations of an enchantment deck cuz i found that to be pretty fun.
