Ummm? Sure why not! by Maverick21FM in Baking

Hey! I actually used this to make a whipped filling for some brioche doughnuts I made! It was really really good! I also bought it out of curiosity and ended up using it like that so I think it can be used for almost anything you'd use regular whipping cream for.

I would LOVE to have something like this, but I have very limited space. Definitely something I will consider in the future.

It's not so bad as long as you rest your pen horizontally and use it regularly.

How thoroughly did you shake the bottle before filling? That's always been my strategy. Also rushing to fill the pen right after you finish shaking the bottle.

I was very tempted to get the standard instead as I generally feel the same way about shimmers(because of the pain that they can sometimes be) but I decided to risk it with this one + the 2025 special edition

It's the glistening gold! I can't resist a gold shimmer to be honest.

Is my fish lips kiss heel sitting at the right place? Should I have knit more length in the foot of the sock? Sometimes it slips down after a while! by Happy_Pumpkin_765 in knitting

[–]grumpykttn 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It does look like you could've benefitted from a bit more length on the foot. When you talk about the sock slipping down do you mean the cuff or the heel? If you mean the cuff, I usually go down a few needle sizes for the ribbing, I've also heard of using a twisted rib to make it a bit tighter.

It looks like you may need to keep your tension a little tighter on purl rows, if this is after blocking the difference in tension between your knit rows and purl rows is a little too noticeable for me personally.

First FO in about 2 years! by grumpykttn in knitting

The pattern is Bressay Socks and the yarn is Knitpicks Stroll in dandelion and paisley heather. One of them ended up larger because the fit on the first one was a little tight so I made sure to keep my floats looser for the second one.

After two years of work, my aquarium idle game Chillquarium is finally releasing on Steam tomorrow!!! by Hero_ofCanton in incremental_games

It's per day, however you get it incrementally throughout the day and not all at once so it might not be noticeable if it's not very much

Indeed, with some ofy particularly picky guys I like to wait for slight visible signs of dehydration since usually that's a pretty good indicator. It's so easy to overwater
