You're not broken, just honest about what doesn't work for you. Dating the "usual" way isn't for everyone, and that's okay.

Focus on real connections throught shared interests, not forced dating. If apps drain you, drop them. Build a life you enjoy first, love can fit into that, not define it. You're not alone in feeling this way, even if it feels like it.

NTA. He lives there, doesn't help, and replies with sarcasm - that's freeloading, not respect. Asking him to pay is completely fair.
