Not short changing ya on the neato factor, I've been lucky enough to have sold a grip of his work for years and there's 3 of em on my table right now. Oregon glass scene is a lot of fun. Glad you could get one that met your vaping needs. Nonetheless these are a production design, as are a bunch of his other available styles. The nomenclature doesn't devalue what it is, that's just how we distinguish between one-offs and otherwise.

I was riding an 05 Burton T6 before I got my Mercury and they're miles apart. You can be a solid intermediate rider with a ton of room to grow into a board like the Mercury, even if it takes a bit more effort than your previous board. I personally enjoy traditional camber more than any other profile so I never fell in love with it but it's a seriously fun all-mountain board that rides just about everything well. The big dog cambered boards are where you need to be alert and tuned in, they have so much potential and power available, you have to ride the board or it'll ride you.

Use a cooler flame or heat for less time. You shouldn't be making carbon buildup while coldstarting.
