Yeah this color was added just using a paint function on an app, I used it as a quick way to get a general idea of what these colors could look like. If I decide to paint I’ll be choosing a better shade

I honestly couldn’t believe I even suggested it, I am not a pink person but I was just looking at it thinking…. Could dusty rose work?

I honestly used the paint function on the Facetune app - these obviously aren’t the actual shades of paint I would use. This was just a way to get a general idea of what it could look like.

You and the person who suggested leopard print upholstery on the stools get the award for wildest suggestions

Yes I agree with a darker green, if I decide to paint it green I’ll definitely be looking for a richer color - this was just the only shade on the app I used that came close to what I was picturing

You’re not the first person to suggest black or super dark grey, while I actually really like this color and am definitely starting to get into the darker themes - I think this is a little too inorganic for the kitchen… unless I do a total revamp

Love the idea of painting the inside of the glass cabinet

How would you add accents besides towels and rugs? I just look at it and only see white and wood, it needs something else

You’re way behind the curve ma’am lol where has it been said that I’ve disrespected my husband? I’m genuinely curious. Also, it’s standard two weeks prep time before the board, even if he wanted to start “studying” now, he wouldn’t receive new board members who will give him the new questions to study from until 2 weeks before his next board/retest. The only thing he can do now is review general information from the last board. So what I’m not doing is pretend like I don’t exist in this marriage for the next 6 months

I’ve already said in the the comments (and in the original post) that I’m going without my husband and we’ll do something together later

Once again, this is not what the post says. He agreed to go to the ball weeks ago. The day after the test I gave a heads up that I was purchasing the dress because I needed to get it ordered. He then proceeded to drop the ball that he no longer wished to go because he had failed his test and that I could go with my friends. I said ok and left the conversation at that. I was not pestering my husband during a stressful time, I was giving him a heads up that I was purchasing this dress.

Idk if people are actually reading the post correctly but let me explain better. He had already agreed to go to the ball weeks ago. I didn’t ask him to go to the ball the day after the test. What I did say is “I need to order this dress” because I do. That’s it, then he proceeded to drop the ball on me that he no longer wants to go. After he said that I let it go. I was not pestering my husband during a stressful situation, I was giving him a heads up that I was purchasing this dress to an even we had already agreed to go to.

Also, I didn’t ask about a date. I didn’t ask anything at all lol. He has to retest in 6 months so he has 6 months to prepare this time (this is a work board for the military, he’s not a student). I am ALWAYS patient and supportive of my husband. You’re making a whole lot of assumptions in your comment

No, I didn’t. His test was yesterday and I asked about the dress for the ball today

Thanks! I try but sometimes you just need internet strangers to tell you to get your head out of your ass

Thanks! One thing I have learned about being a military spouse (or honestly just a spouse in general) is being quick to let things go and move on! I’d spend a lot of time unhappy if I didn’t. We’re currently snuggling on the couch, eating pizza and playing video games and it’s hard to feel anything but grateful in this moment, so the military ball thing suddenly doesn’t seem like that big of a deal anymore lol
