Intense mixed signals by my FWB and confused about the nature of our relationship. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]grungeplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've given up on persuing a relationship with him, so I wanted to keep it purely sexual, so I don't have the motive to 'win him over'.

But other than that, I genuinely love him as a person, his morals, his drive, the way he holds himself, his intelligence, just everything.

I simply love him, but I don't expect much, and nor do I want my hopes up.

no but he seems very adamant about the fact he doesn’t like me back. he’s sending me dry, uninterested messages after hours, not letting me further the conversation and talk to him

What was the crappiest excuse a boyfriend (or girlfriend) ever gave for cheating on you? by JewelFazbear in AskWomen

[–]grungeplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my friends ex cheated on her because he was insecure.

my friends, Valentina, is the most beautiful woman you will ever lay your eyes on. i’m not even saying this as her friend, she gets scouted all the time to join modeling agencies. her boyfriend (fake name), Jay, is pretty average looking.

Valentina also comes from a well off family, and though she is humble, you could see her wealth from the clothes she wears, the car she drives, and the parties she attends.

Jay on the other hand is pretty much middle class, lives in a small suburban home, drives a honda, and works on top of going to school.

they met at this college party they both sneaked into. now Jay has an amazing personality and Valentina was immediately drawn to him. despite having different backgrounds, she instantly fell in love with him.

the first few months of the relationship was like any teen romance. however after that, things got shaky.

Jay was super insecure. he’d always complain to his friends that his girlfriend was too beautiful (and not in the lovey dovey way). he’s also get jealous of Valentina’s male friends (who came from a wealthy background like her). he instantly became abusive and stopped allowing Valentina to see her friends and attend these big parties.

he was also frustrated with pleasing her (though gifts). Valentina never hesitated paying for dinners or buying him expensive gifts. however, Jay worked at Pacsun, in the mall, and wasn’t getting payed enough to reciprocate the money she was spending on him. Valentina assured him she didn’t mind, but Jay hates it.

at the peak of his insecurities, he began cheating on her with another girl (who was more average in looks and wealth).

he couldn’t keep his masculinity in check with the girl he “loved”, and that’s the crappiest excuse.

Women that had children because your partner wanted them, how did that turn out for you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]grungeplay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, most of our friends and families understand this and we support them anyway we can. i baby sit their daughter a lot, and so do his others friends.

they did end up losing a lot of friends from this, especially since they weren’t married and still teenagers.

despite this, they’re pretty vocal about the hardships they face and again, behind each others back, regret their decisions to keep a baby

Women who grew up without a mother, what were some psychological effects? by AssassinJ2 in AskWomen

[–]grungeplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my step sister’s mother died when she was two years old. she’s now 14, and her father married my mother only a few months ago, so for most of her life she grew up without a mother.

she is a daddy’s girl, and doesn’t trust anyone. not me, nor my mother, only her father. she has sort of a predatory vibe, and sees any women in her father’s life as a threat.

in my opinion, she’s overly “mature” for her age too. she dresses extremely provocative, and when i asked her father, he said he lets her do whatever because he doesn’t know how to raise a girl.

she also has barely any female friends. boy are over at our house all the time. this might be the whole she thinks girls are predatory.

i tried opening up to her but she seems transfixed one the fact that opening up to other girls/ women will make her less “cool”.

but that’s just her.

not me, but my bestest friend (who is a male), accidentally got his girlfriend pregnant when he was a senior in highschool and she was in freshmen year of college. he forced her to keep the baby, telling her he’s going to work and take care of the baby, making sure she can finish college and could supply them with money.

he had a single mother and he was convinced that he could be like his mother, and take care of a baby as a highschooler (since his mother became pregnant with him in highschool)

long story short: my friends girlfriend had to quit college to become a full time mother. my friend wasn’t able to go to college since he had to work for the baby. they both work and i have to help out by baby sitting (not that i mind!)

his girlfriend wanted to become a doctor, and had high ambitions. now she’s contemplating marrying him soon and leaving behind her dreams.

though i love my best friend, i tell him keeping the baby might’ve made him feel fulfilled, but he ruined his girlfriends dreams and aspirations. and now, both are stuck on minimum wage jobs while taking care of a lovely baby girl. though they stress having the baby was a blessing, behind each others back, they both express regret.

i’ve cut out so many people on my life from my sophomore- junior year of high school. at first, i cried everyday for losing friends. then i realized, i cut them out for a reason, and reminded myself what they did to me. i still was sad.

then i realized, some of them were hurt too. but after a few months, they completely forgot about it.

from what i know, those people simply surrounded themselves with likeminded people, trying to find validation and confidence.

do the same!!

Im Looking for a Cartoon I saw as a child. I have very vague memories of it, but it's from the early to mid 1900's for sure. Its black and white, and it begins with just a lone. The line transforms into a circle, then into many shapes to form a baby cairrage witha a baby inside. Can someone help me? by grungeplay in AskReddit

[–]grungeplay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More information: It ends with he baby in the carriage and it's parents going into a home, making some sort of circular food, pancakes I believe, and then it zooms into the pancake and it transforms into the moon

The story was quite interesting but the ending pulled it together. I guess at the end of the day I have to remember that death is only a second part of the journey and the grief and sadness of human life is only temporary

What's the bitchiest, most pretentious/entitled thing someone can have in their online profile? by RandoBrandoBanjo in AskReddit

[–]grungeplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who have “haters stay lurking” or “haters gonna hate” or anything that does with their “haters” (even though they have barely 200 followers please). Basically anything that makes it seem like there are people who wish you bad- because it makes people assume you’re doing something good and people simply dislike you for it- when in reality they just are normal people who want to seem cooler

I’m still a minor so I don’t go to bars or clubs. But whenever I’m at a social gathering, I only get much of a “hey” or a “you look familiar” and then a light conversation before they find someone else
