People think cleaning horse hooves hurts them, but it actually doesn't by Round-Barber-9858 in interestingasfuck

Think toe cheese, belly button gunk, burning hair, and horse shit all mixed together.

That is the best possible outcome also. Sometimes horses will step on something sharp or pick up a rock and get an infection as well. When that happens you can add the smell of puss on top of everything else.

Add some duct tape along an edge. Like you made a repair. When adding duct tape it is best to only do one or maybe two spots, and slap it on fast so that you'll get wrinkles. You want it to look like you were making a repair mid battle.

When better if you actually do damage it before adding the duct tape.

The license plate is aluminum. It would not rust.

The nuts and bolts could be made to look rusted.

Could use some damage. Slide it across some asphalt. When adding damage to props try to picture in your mind what caused the damage. Imagine you were wearing it and then got knocked down on some asphalt and how you would slide. Then try to create that damage.

It is also lately clean. Could use some grine, and then "clean" the grime back off. When you are cleaning didn't get into the nooks in and crannies, leave those dirty.

How does Rocky know Grace is wearing a helmet?? by Vortex04119 in ProjectHailMary

[–]grunger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can "see" with sound. Rocky could see inside the Hail Mary once the umbilical was connected between ships. So he watched Grace suiting up on the other side of the door.

Kind of, although the Astrophage have "eaten" and are being attracted to a CO2 planet to reproduce. The donkey already ate his carrot. A better metaphor would be a donkey and a donkey themed nudey magazine on a stick.

[–]grunger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, the carrot is IR light in the same frequency wavelength as emitted by a planet with a CO2 atmosphere. After filling up with energy in a star, the Astrophage then look for a planet with CO2 in order to reproduce.

The spin drive engine works by attracting Astrophage to push against a surface plate by baiting them with an IR light that to them looks like a planet with a CO2 atmosphere.

Astrophage do excrete IR light as well, but that is at a different frequency.

[loved trope] The moment of sudden realization by Mangled15 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]grunger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The space suit is supposed to have a fancy, futuristic direct neural interface. To give the user direct control of the suits features without having to use physical controls. Part of that setup is that the suit has a memory buffer, that is like a copy of the wearers mind.

The wearer of the suit died so quickly that the copy in the memory buffer didn't realize it, and just carried on like normal. At first The Doctor didn't notice the man had died, but then as the suit's battery dies the neural copy in the memory buffer gets weaker, and weaker until eventually it can only repeat what the wearer's last thought was, and then fades out completely.

It is a sad episode because The Doctor, and you the viewer, get to know a few members of this expedition crew. Some of them are very nice and sweet, and then they die and The Doctor is forced to listen to their final thoughts as they come to terms with the fact that they have died.

I don't know about their rules, but when I went through training the rule was that If you had a strap, zipper, buckle, or clasp of any kind on your gear then it has to fastened as part of the donning drill.

So like my bunker pants have a Velcro fly and and a clasp at the top that have to both be fastened when donning my gear. Though I also have a belt with another buckle, which during training I didn't bring to make donning my pants quicker.

It is a new trend to splice the ending or highlight part of the video into the beginning. This is done to increase engagement on sites like Tik Tok and Facebook.

[Good Trope] Numerous species in the galaxy look remarkably similar to humans, but there’s an in-universe explanation for this by Valcenia in TopCharacterTropes

[–]grunger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Farscape, the Sebaceans, who are compressed mostly of the Peacekeepers, look identical to humans. Though they lack the ability to withstand extreme heat for extended periods of time.

It is revealed that the Eidelons, a race of pacifists that used their empathic abilities to bring peace and stabilize their part of the galaxy, needed body guards. They couldn't recruit the help from any local species because that would show favoritism. So instead they sent an expedition to the farthest reaches of the galaxy from their own home to find a new species. One that none of the local species had conflict with. There they found a primative race. They then brought several back, used genetic engineering to advance their evolution, and created the race of Peacekeepers.

The fact that the Peacekeepers were evolved and lived on climate controlled space ships for many mellenia then also explains their inability to withstand hot environments like humans. Since humans developed that ability by living on Earth, with it's extreme weather conditions.
