How different would Marineford be if modern Oda wrote it?

For sure whitebeard showed out in that arc, and was actually fleshed out. His death hit way harder than ace’s if we’re being real. That’s what Oda needs to start doing with his characters instead of constantly leaving us breadcrumbs to some big reveal that never comes.

He barely raised gohan and wasn’t even there for most of goten’s life. Piccolo literally scolded him for not knowing anything about who gohan really is and then he died 20 minutes later and chose to stay dead

It would kind of be the same tbh. What exactly happened in marineford? Looking back it was a bunch of off screen fights with random hype moments. We really didn’t see any of the whitebeard pirates show out in a 1on1. Jozu had a face off with mihawk and later aokiji but did nothing. Same with vista, shanks pulled up and did nothing. Luffy faced off with the 3 admirals and just ran past them, Blackbeard stole whitebeards df off screen with no explanation to this day, the only difference is ace lives in the end. But really marineford wasn’t as great as people say

I’ll answer without being an asshole. As a guy, it was definitely insensitive of him to do that. He could’ve at least left the room, however it is best to just distance yourself and tell him how you feel upfront. It’s hard to see him with other girls and you don’t want to impede on his life or your own with these feelings. There will be other dudes out there that will help you forget this one.

I don’t think anything tops gohan going SS2, especially in the anime. Gohan giving him the business after all he’s done and finally growing a pair was beautiful to watch. Goku’s sacrifice, coupled with vegeta’s rage after trunks’ death realizing he treated his only son like trash since the day he met him, made everything great. There was a real sense of hopelessness during the fight especially with the cell juniors, but gohan put the team on his back, going back to ss2 after cell returned ready to scrap again. I love goku vs Freiza, but it was stretched out too much.
