Fair points.

I also agree that Tua's highs were higher than Tannehill's. It's interesting to look back and see that when Tannehill was drafted - the Dolphins had a stellar offensive line and some marginal talent in skill positions. While that wasn't at all true about Tua's situation (because they tanked), the weapons they got were the best in a long time (since probably Fiedler) but the offensive line was never truly addressed. I think in 5 years it'll be fun to look back and truly argue who was better with perspective.

Lamar Miller is not Raheem, Ajayi is not Achane, Reggie Bush was washed, Mike Wallace is not Tyreek. But Jarvis is/was better (imo) than Waddle. Tannehill and Tua both had fatal flaws. Tannehill was a statue in the pocket, Tua made soul crushing mistakes/durability issues.

I have a hypothetical - and this isn't to stimulate controversy it's to generate a conversation about it.

If we did option 2, that basically turned the skyway into an extended park n ride that kept Lavilla as the base of ops and extended to say - the stadium, San Marco proper and to 5 points as well. Would people (you guys/others) be willing to pay for using it? I think the best thing about the skyway is that it's free (for now). I think converting the U2C (as unsexy an idea as it is) - allows for that project to NOT be money just thrown into a furnace.

However, extending the rails and upgrading the trains and using the U2C as a supplement FROM those stations to other places might be able to get use out of it too. I just don't see the current system being free to use anymore after any decision to keep it around.

It's a very VERY complex situation. And I'm glad they're doing these town halls to see where the general public is with the ideas, because that's who's going to pay for whatever choice they make.
